I would say that it’s A

Answer:

I would say the answer is C. The rest seem to be just normal objects. C seems to be more than just an object and more of a symbol of something happening (to a character.)

A. The pear seems to be more of just an object used to illustrate how the violin is crafted masterfully.

B. The boardwalk is just a place and seems to have no meaning other than it's commonplace for the action to happen.

C. The plant seems to have a meaning. The wilting of it indicating how neglectful a character, it doesn't just seem to be like a normal everyday object. It seems to mean something a little more to the story and is most likely a symbol of how neglectful the character is.

D. The artifact is just shown to be acquired and that's it.

So, C seems to be the best answer.

where do commas go in this sentence "I moved here in May 2018 and I started school on Monday August 20 2018

Answers

Answer:

I moved here in May 2018, and started school on Monday August 20, 2018.

Explanation:

The commas should be placed as follows: "I moved here in May 2018, and I started school on Monday, August 20, 2018."

The comma is used to signal to readers a specific separation of words, phrases, or ideas in order to avoid readers from misinterpreting the writer's intended meaning.

When a statement is stated aloud, a comma frequently symbolizes a pause, which serves to clarify the meaning in spoken dialogue.

There are four different sorts of commas: listing commas, joining commas, gapping commas, and bracketing commas.

Commas are used to divide sections of sentences in English. A comma can be used to divide list components, identify groupings of words that go together, denote conjunctions between entire thoughts, and more.

Therefore, "I moved here in May 2018, and I started school on Monday, August 20, 2018."

Why do you think the crowd is hesitant to assist Mr. Summers?

Answers

Answer:

The morning of June 27th was clear and sunny, with the fresh warmth of a full-summer day; the flowers were blossoming profusely and the grass was richly green. The people of the village began to gather in the square, between the post office and the bank, around ten o`clock; in some towns there were so many people that the lottery took two days and had to be started on June 20th. but in this village, where there were only about three hundred people, the whole lottery took less than two hours, so it could begin at ten o`clock in the morning and still be through in time to allow the villagers to get home for noon dinner.

The children assembled first, of course. School was recently over for the summer, and the feeling of liberty sat uneasily on most of them; they tended to gather together quietly for a while before they broke into boisterous play. and their talk was still of the classroom and the teacher, of books and reprimands. Bobby Martin had already stuffed his pockets full of stones, and the other boys soon followed his example, selecting the smoothest and roundest stones; Bobby and Harry Jones and Dickie Delacroix-- the villagers pronounced this name "Dellacroy"--eventually made a great pile of stones in one corner of the square and guarded it against the raids of the other boys. The girls stood aside, talking among themselves, looking over their shoulders at the boys. and the very small children rolled in the dust or clung to the hands of their older brothers or sisters.

Soon the men began to gather. surveying their own children, speaking of planting and rain, tractors and taxes. They stood together, away from the pile of stones in the corner, and their jokes were quiet and they smiled rather than laughed. The women, wearing faded house dresses and sweaters, came shortly after their menfolk. They greeted one another and exchanged bits of gossip as they went to join their husbands. Soon the women, standing by their husbands, began to call to their children, and the children came reluctantly, having to be called four or five times. Bobby Martin ducked under his mother`s grasping hand and ran, laughing, back to the pile of stones. His father spoke up sharply, and Bobby came quickly and took his place between his father and his oldest brother.

The lottery was conducted--as were the square dances, the teen club, the Halloween program--by Mr. Summers. who had time and energy to devote to civic activities. He was a round-faced, jovial man and he ran the coal business, and people were sorry for him. because he had no children and his wife was a scold. When he arrived in the square, carrying the black wooden box, there was a murmur of conversation among the villagers, and he waved and called. "Little late today, folks." The postmaster, Mr. Graves, followed him, carrying a three- legged stool, and the stool was put in the center of the square and Mr. Summers set the black box down on it. The villagers kept their distance, leaving a space between themselves and the stool. and when Mr. Summers said, "Some of you fellows want to give me a hand?" there was a hesitation before two men. Mr. Martin and his oldest son, Baxter. came forward to hold the box steady on the stool while Mr. Summers stirred up the papers inside it.

200 words essay on bullying in schools

Explanation:

PLease Mark me as the brainliest

Answer:

Bullying in school has been a problem for years now. It needs to be stopped. In my opinion it is hurtful and mean. There can be different types of bullying, such as cyberbullying, physical bullying, verbal bullying and phycological bullying. All of these are equally as horrible as the other.

Cyber bullying is a form of bullying that is online. People can make rude comments online, and most of the time you can't even tell who it is. Cyberbullying can be stopped by blocking that individual, but that doesn't mean that they will stop bullying you.

Physical Bullying may be the worst out of the bunch. People can get seriously hurt if they are not careful. Physical bullying will end up as fights and get dangerous as they progress. If bullying does get stopped, physical bullying should be the first to go.

Verbal bullying isn't too bad, as they are just words that are being used, but words still hurt. Phycological bullying is also known as gossiping. gossiping can happen when a group of people gets together and makes fun of you behind your back. If too much of this happens, then you will be tricked that everyone is talking bad about you behind your back.

That is my summary of bullying. Just know that every type of bullying is wrong and it should never be done. We need to come together as a community to stop bullying in school. It is wrong and hurtful.

We were not regularly allowanced. Our food was coarse corn meal boiled. This was called MUSH. It was put into a large wooden tray or trough, and set down upon the ground. The children were then called, like so many pigs, and like so many pigs they would come and devour the mush; some with oyster-shells, others with pieces of shingle, some with naked hands, and none with spoons.
