I don't want to say it's horrible... but it is certainly far from ideal. In all forms of society... humanity has kind of become lackadaisical in it's growth. It almost seems as if our hunger for progress has disappeared completely. I know the problems we have in America are not nearly as bad as those in third world countries rn... but the presidential has definitely brought the worst out in all of us. I support neither candidate bc frankly... I couldn't care less about stuff like that. What does disappoint me is the fact that people have become so divided on an election. As far as BLM... I definitely think that both sides of the argument need to back down. Yes there are corrupt police officers... but do not let them take away from the majority of officers who lay their lives down every day unbiasedly. how did louisiana change during the age of bourbon democrats

Answers

Bourbon Democrat was a term used in the United States in the later 19th century (1872–1904) to refer to members of the Democratic Party, usually Southern, who were ideologically aligned with conservatism or classical liberalism, especially those who supported presidential candidates Charles O'Conor in 1872, Samuel J. Tilden in 1876, President Grover Cleveland in 1884–1888/1892–1896, and Alton B. Parker in 1904.
After 1904, the Bourbons faded away. Southerner Woodrow Wilson, made a deal in 1912 with the leading opponent of the Bourbons, William Jennings Bryan; Bryan endorsed Wilson for the Democratic nomination and Wilson named Bryan Secretary of State. Bourbon Democrats were promoters of a form of laissez-faire capitalism which included opposition to the high-tariff protectionism that the Republicans were then advocating as well as fiscal discipline.

Answer:

The hard times that swept over the Continent in the late 1840s transformed widespread popular discontent in the German Confederation into a full-blown revolution. After the middle of the decade, a severe economic depression halted industrial expansion and aggravated urban unemployment. At the same time, serious crop failures led to a major famine in the area from Ireland to Russian Poland. In the German states, the hungry 1840s drove the lower classes, which had long been suffering from the economic effects of industrial and agricultural rationalization, to the point of open rebellion. There were sporadic hunger riots and violent disturbances in several of the states, but the signal for a concerted uprising did not come until early in 1848 with the exciting news that the regime of the bourgeois king Louis-Philippe had been overthrown by an insurrection in Paris (February 22–24). The result was a series of sympathetic revolutions against the governments of the German Confederation, most of them mild but a few, as in the case of the fighting in Berlin, bitter and bloody.

Answer:

This paragraph may help you with your questions.

Explanation:

The archduke traveled to Sarajevo in June 1914 to inspect the imperial armed forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina, annexed by Austria-Hungary in 1908. The annexation had angered Serbian nationalists, who believed the territories should be part of Serbia. A group of young nationalists hatched a plot to kill the archduke during his visit to Sarajevo, and after some missteps, 19-year-old Gavrilo Princip was able to shoot the royal couple at point-blank range, while they traveled in their official procession, killing both almost instantly.

The assassination set off a rapid chain of events, as Austria-Hungary immediately blamed the Serbian government for the attack. As large and powerful Russia supported Serbia, Austria asked for assurances that Germany would step in on its side against Russia and its allies, including France and possibly Great Britain. On July 28, Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia, and the fragile peace between Europe’s great powers collapsed, beginning the devastating conflict now known as the First World War.

Answers

Answer:

C. To ensure imperialist countries could trade equally with China

Explanation:

I did the test in edge

The main goal of the Open Door Policy was to ensure imperialist countries could trade equally with China. Thus, option C is correct.

Open Door policy, a set of guiding principles established by the United States in 1899 and 1900 to maintain Chinese territorial and administrative integrity as well as the safeguarding of equitable rights among nations dealing with China. John Hay, the secretary of state for the United States, sent circular notes with the declaration to Japan, Russia, France, Germany, and Italy.

In the US, the Open Door policy was largely welcomed, and for more than 40 years it served as the cornerstone of American foreign policy in East Asia. The Anglo-Chinese treaties of Nanjing (Nanking, 1842) and Wuchang (Wuchang, 1842) stated the concept that all countries should have equal access to any of the ports accessible to commerce in China.
