Sunny Tells His Story

I was living in an animal shelter until Special Agent Rohmer picked me out one day. She said, “Let me see that one.” She took me out for a walk behind the kennel, petted me a few times, and the rest, shall we say, is history.

Rohmer had big plans for me. She wanted to train me to be a service dog. And you know who I was going to work for? Get this. The FBI! That’s the government group that solves mysteries and keeps us all safe. I felt so proud that I decided never to slurp my water or eat trash off the ground again.

Rohmer started working with me day and night. Everything was a command. She barked and yelped, “Do this, bring me that, pick this up, sit, heel, don’t move.” It was hard work, but she gave me treats for almost everything that I did right, plus a lot of affection, so I did it all for her.

Sometimes, she would show off what I could do to other people, saying, “You’ve got to see what my dog Sunny can do!” They’d watch and then exclaim as if I were a steak dinner and they hadn’t eaten for weeks. At those moments, I was a circus animal, performing to perfection. And everyone had the same words to say about me: I was sweet, gentle, docile, and obedient. And then they started saying others things, too, such as “That’s no service dog, Rohmer! That’s a therapy dog if I ever saw one.”

So that’s how I eventually got to be a therapy dog. It was my perfect behavior plus my soft as a pillow, sweet as candy way of acting. Soon I was doing my job. I had to make a big deal out of people who had been through a difficult experience. I had to love them up and cheer them up and give them something to hug. I had to look calmly and reassuringly into their eyes as if I knew what was behind them. And, sometimes, I just had to sit there and look good. Whatever the task, everyone says I’m perfect for the job, and I guess I have to agree.

What does Sunny compare his way of acting too?

Which actions taken by the French people were justified to change the status quo? Were there any causes or effects that justified the use of this action?

Answers

Answer:

The French were justified in many of their actions because the ancient regime rule had shown to be very ineffective and even careless about the plight of the common people.

Explanation:

This is why the French Revolution was a Revolution. Gradual reformist change was practically impossible and the people were forced to act in more or less violent ways to enact change.

However, it is also true that the revolutionaries committed many excesses, lost sight of what they were doing, and ended up failing to a great degree because the final result of the Revolution was the ascent of power of Napoleon as emperor of the French.

What physical barriers isolated China from foreign influence and trade? Choose three correct answers. Chiang Jiang River Eurasian Steppe Gobi Desert Himalayas Huang He River Manchurian Plain Pacific Ocean

Answers

Answer:

Gobi Desert

Himalayas

Pacific Ocean

Explanation:

China remains isolated from the rest of the world because of its natural barriers like mountains and desert. Because of China geographic isolation, people had to supply their goods within the region rather than trading with outside peoples. The Himalayas in the west, the Pacific Ocean to the east, and the Gobi in the north were two geographic barriers. The frequent floods in Huang He kept China culturally and economically separated from the rest of the world.

What does Bank mean?

Since Italian merchants in the Renaissance formed agreements to borrow and lend money next to a bench, the word bank is derived from the Italian word banco, which means bench. They set the cash down on the bench. Simple financial records have existed since the dawn of time.

Retail banks, often called general or personal banking establishments, conduct business with the general population. They offer a variety of services, including overdraft protection, short-term loans, current accounts, savings accounts, etc.

Jacksonians' support for the Second Bank of the US stands out among the rest of the statements as a key distinction between Jeffersonian Democracy and Jacksonian Democracy supporters.

Answers

Answer: Germany considered the Versailles Peace Treaty unfair.

Explanation:

Immediately after the end of the peace process in Versailles, which ended the First World War, Germany expressed its dissatisfaction. Since Germany lost the war, it was forced to accept the victorious countries' conditions, primarily Britain and France. Germany paid billions of dollars in war reparations and lost all colonial possessions in Africa. Germany had to cede a good part of its territory to other countries, primarily France and Poland. Also, Germany and its allies were found one culprit for the war. All these decisions were viewed negatively in Germany. In such circumstances, nationalism in the country intensified, and Hitler claimed that the country had been deceived in Versailles. Such general dissatisfaction certainly caused Germany's effort to start World War II.
