Excerpt: “By the 1770s, the ideas of the Great Awakening had helped create a revolutionary fervor among the colonists, which led them to challenge Britain’s authority” What is a possible generalization to this?

Answers

The Great Awakening was an outburst of Protestant Revivalism in the eighteenth century.

The beliefs of the New Lights of the First Great Awakening competed with the more conservative religion of the first colonists, who were known as Old Lights. The religious fervor in Great Britain and her North American colonies bound the eighteenth-century British Atlantic together in a shared, common experience.

During the 18th century, the British Atlantic experienced an outburst of Protestant revivalism known as the First Great Awakening. During the First Great Awakening, evangelists came from the ranks of several Protestant denominations: Congregationalists, Anglicans—members of the Church of England—and Presbyterians. They rejected what appeared to be sterile, formal modes of worship in favor of a vigorous emotional religiosity.

The First Great Awakening caused a split between those who followed the evangelical message—the New Lights—and those who rejected it—the Old Lights. The elite ministers in British America were firmly Old Lights, and they censured the new revivalism as chaos.

Constitutional Conventions are the rules of good political behavior. these are typically rules of self-discipline.

this convention took place first in Philadelphia, America from May 14 to September 17, 1787. the point of the meeting was to decide how America was going to be governed. men like Alexender Hamilton and many others wanted to create a new government instead of fixing the existing one.

instead of 70 delegates appointed, only 55 were able to be there. the first 2 months of the convention saw debates over the 15 points of the "Virginia plan" proposed by Madison. yet, the Committee of the Whole couldn't agree on anything. on 24th July, the Committee of detail was enacted to handle the drafting process.

The U.N Constitution was adopted on 17th September 1787 with 39 signs which had still some bits and pieces of the Virginia plan.

Significant criticisms have been leveled at both the donors and the recipients of foreign aid. Some groups in recipient countries have viewed foreign aid suspiciously as nothing more than a tool of influence of donor countries. For example, critics of the IMF allege that the required structural adjustments are too politically difficult and too rigorous and that the debts incurred through IMF loans help to create poverty, as capital that could have been invested instead was channeled into debt repayment. The World Bank, which critics claimed in the 1970s and 80s was insensitive to local needs and often approved projects that did more harm than good, altered many of its policies and has generally endured less criticism. In general, opponents of the way that foreign aid programs have operated charge that foreign aid has been dominated by corporate interests, has created an unreasonable debt burden on developing countries, and has forced countries to avoid using strategies that might protect their economies from the open market. In addition, many critics of U.S. aid illustrate the continued importance of political considerations over developmental ones, citing for example the increase in aid to countries allied with the United States in the fight against terrorism following the September 11 attacks in 2001, regardless of their commitment to democracy and human rights. when in uniform, you are required to wear a hat or cap in all of the following situations, except which one? scan millions of websites to identify individual webpages that contain a specific word or phrase and then attempt to rank the results from most useful to least useful are there other classes of stars besides those in the primary obafgkm sequence? what are they, and are they significantly different from their more or less massive peers? z, Kelly7In double replacement reactions, why will two metals not combine with each other when products areformed?A metals form negative ions and like charges attractB metals form positive ions and like charges do not attractCmetals form negative ions and like charges do not attractD metals form positive ions and like charges attractDec's
