Hey darling, I already finished the story. Remember, a short story is only 500 words. I made 508; edit it to your convenience and will, I hope it helps.
"Do as I say or die!" those are the words resonating in the streets daily. There is crime and violence everywhere. You have to protect yourself with bullets and guns so you won’t get yourself murdered. And also you need to keep your head up, never know when human robots are going to attack. Of course, those metallic beasts are harder to kill, but, trust me it’s worth the bounty once the job is done. My name is Shillack, quite disturbing a name, isn’t it? Well… but, you ain’t here for that, ain’t ya’? Ya’ll here to hear the tale bout’ the ol’ robot, Shillack and his ol' companion Roger.
Three years ago there was a wonderful woman named Sera. She was captured by the monstrous Jerald; he was half-human and half-robot. However, he had a heart and a mind, he wasn’t cynical, but his actions and doings were evil due to the tough a life we human beings had to suffer among the Earth after the last president died and the Senty took charge of the position as government. Senty is a group of mafia officials who bought the government with dirty money. And, among the leaders was Jerald. He never knew the deeply in love he would fall in love with Sera when he encountered her that lonesome Sunday day, something inside him switched and made all his metallic chords vibrate. It was love at first sight, and, he could not bear have her leave so he took her and hid her well amongst the many rooms of the white house. But, Sera was no ordinary gal. She was my sister and Roger’s betroth, we could not allow that metal of a man take away what we held most dear.
We knew it was common, women were kidnapped and raped. But, not Sera. Sera could not be a victim. So, Roger and I hatched up a plan to take Jerald down. One day while Jerald took a stroll with her, handcuffed and in chains on the green grass of the white house Roger and I snuck from behind and shot the half robot with our Caliber 19 guns, but, it was to no avail. The robot turned around extremely angered and all of his insides began to burn to the extreme. From his stomach then appeared a gun, but, before shootin’ Sera got in front of him. “Please don’t kill them” she begged. The robot listened to her and didn’t harm of. However, he kept Sera, and till this day he is an unstoppable force. Like Sera many women are kidnapped never to see their loved one’s again, some are in a comfortable position, others are not. All in all, the future is not a pretty place to be. There is a lot of violence, gang wars on the streets when you least expect it, troublesome people stealing anything pretty they find, among other things.
Now, I think and have a devastated heart after losing my sister to the robot, that half-human robot that is. Who would have known that techno stuff would have become so advanced till this point.
Why does a newspaper combine news stories with features and opinion?
Answer:
The major difference between a news story and a feature story is that a news story is time-sensitive. Media outlets want to publish news stories as quickly as possible after an event occurs. Feature stories, however, are not as time-dependent and contain no urgent content.

Who do you think had more control over Booker T. Washington's fate in the story? Booker or the headmaster? Why? Answers should be at least 8
sentences (but no more than 15 sentences).
Answer:
Not sure what "Book" you read but this may help.
Booker T. Washington (1856-1915) was born into slavery and rose to become a leading African American intellectual of the 19 century, founding Tuskegee Normal and Industrial Institute (now Tuskegee University) in 1881 and the National Negro Business League two decades later. Washington advised Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and William Howard Taft. His infamous conflicts with black leaders like W. E. B. Du Bois over segregation caused a stir, but today, he is remembered as the most influential African American speaker of his time.
------
Booker Taliaferro Washington was born on April 5, 1856, in a slave hut in Franklin County, Virginia. His mother was a cook for the plantation’s owner. His father, a white man, was unknown to Washington. At the close of the Civil War, all the slaves owned by James and Elizabeth Burroughs—including 9-year-old Booker, his siblings, and his mother—were freed. Jane moved her family to Malden, West Virginia. Soon after, she married Washington Ferguson, a free black man.

Who is your favorite fictional character and why?
Answer:
Anges Gru.
Explanation:
My favorite fictional character would most likely be Anges Gru off of Despicable Me. Anges is the youngest and there is so much to like about her and her personality. For example, her innocent behavior, she's funny, her obsession with unicorns shown on various occasions througoht out every Despicable Me movie and she really sets of the Despicable Me movies. Of course, I have other favorite fictional characters from other fictional movies. A friend of yours who has been living in Europe for some years has written to invite you to join him. Write a reply to his letter giving, at least, three reasons why you would rather remain in your country
Answer:
Hi,
It's wonderful of you to extend an invitation to reside in Europe to me. With the complexities of their regulations, I believe that residing in Europe would be quite difficult for me without much research. Another significant point of contention would be the disparate cultures and languages. Thirdly, I feel safe and comfortable in my nation, where I have a large number of relatives and friends. I'm certain I'd want to visit you there and would also welcome your visit to my nation. I miss you tremendously and hope we can devise a strategy as soon as it is safe to do so.
Looking forward,
Your dear friend

The Reefs
By Marcella Morris
She clutched her lab work to her side and walked briskly towards school. The snow fell in typical New York flurries, and the ground was still icy from last night’s freeze. Careful not to slip, she climbed the steps and crossed the campus toward the science building.
"What am I doing?" she murmured. Sophie’s worst habit was talking to herself in public. "I have been warned."
"You are just a high-school kid, Sophie," they warned. "What makes you think you are capable of solving this crucial environmental issue? Stop wasting your time." The professors would not give her laboratory time to complete research nor would they share their expertise with her.
But, she could not stop.
After a snorkeling trip she took with her aunt to the coral reefs, she felt that something had shifted inside her. The snorkeling guide made one fact very clear: these colonies of tiny organisms would not last. In fact, we’d be lucky if they lasted five more years. She cared about the safety of these coral reefs more than she has cared about anything for a long, long time. She had to do something for the fragile, endangered habitat with its fish, mollusks, worms, crustaceans, and many more.
She used her money to create a lab at her aunt’s house. She worked tirelessly--endlessly--sleeping only when she had to.
"It’s what Mom and Dad would have done," she thought.
Sophie's best friend, Sam, would hang out with her every day--eating pizza, fries, and whatever else he could get his hands on, keeping her company with his humor while she worked on her experiments. And now, she has a biological solution in her hands.
She hesitated at the door to the labs. Nervously, she shifted her lab report from one hand to the other.
"I know that I have an innovative approach to solving the coral reef issue and I know I can help," she said to no one.
The image of being ridiculed by these professors delayed her entry. She stood outside the door, wanting to run back--wanting to hide--glued to the icy spot.
"Hey, Sophie!" She turned at the unexpected sound of Sam’s voice.
"I’ve been…trying to catch up with you," he panted, out of breath. "Let’s go in and…show them…what you’ve got."
Sophie tilted her head, smiled at Sam, and opened the door. She walked confidently to the front, laid out her research on the podium, and began her presentation. When her presentation ended, it was to the enthusiastic sound of the scientists’ applause.
Part 1–Graphic Organizer How does the theme develop?
Write a one paragraph analysis of the story that explains how theme develops in, "The Reefs."
Answer:
The Reefs by Marcella Morris
1. The theme develops from the conflict or the central problem that is being confronted. It can also develop from the character, especially the character's qualities, actions, responses, and changes which the character makes in the situation.
2. Sophie was confronted with the problem of solving a crucial environmental issue. The coral reefs were facing possible extinction. She could not receive some support from her college professors, as they refused to provide their expertise, withheld their moral support, and did not supply her with the resources that she required (e.g. laboratory time). But, Sophie did not give up. She singularly decided to do something and was able to follow through despite the discouraging challenges. At last, she came up with the solution because of her indomitable spirit.
Explanation:
What is a theme? A theme of a story or an event is the lesson that can be derived from the story or event. It is not the sequence of events that make up a story, which is known as the plot, but the message or the bone of the story. The theme develops from the conflict or the central problem that is being tackled. The lessons that are learned in tackling the conflict or problem are the themes.
