Document 1: Family Life
The ancient hunter-gatherers lived in small groups, normally of about ten or twelve adults plus children. They were regularly on the move, searching for nuts, berries and other plants and following the wild animals. Each group had a large “territory” over which it roamed – large, because only a small proportion of the plants in any given environment were suitable for people to eat, and these came into fruit at different times of the year meaning a large area of land was needed to meet the food needs of a small number of people.
These family groups belonged to larger “clans” of 50 to 100 adults, spread over a wide area and whose members regarded themselves as a “people”, descended from a common ancestor. Kinship (family ties) was crucially important. This more than anything else gave them their identity and defined their place in the world. More practically, it told them who their friends and allies were, and governed whom they could or could not marry (incest, though differently defined at the margins, was a universal taboo, but marriage outside the clan was also restricted). There may well have been individuals within clans particularly revered for their wisdom and judgement, or even credited with special magical powers; but it is highly unlikely that anyone exercised any significant authority over any group larger than the family group.

Answers

Answer:

the distribution of humans around the world

features such as mountains, volcanoes, rivers, and glaciers

Explanation:

The two topics studied by geographers are the distribution of humans around the world and features such as mountains, volcanoes, rivers, and glaciers. Option a and d is the correct answer.

Geographers study how humans are distributed across different regions, countries, and continents. They examine factors such as population density, migration patterns, urbanization, and cultural variations. By analyzing the distribution of humans, geographers gain insights into social, economic, and environmental interactions on a global scale. Option a and d is the correct answer.

Geographers also study the physical features of the Earth's surface. They analyze and map various landforms, including mountains, volcanoes, rivers, glaciers, and other natural features. Understanding the distribution, formation, and characteristics of these features helps geographers understand the Earth's physical processes, such as plate tectonics, erosion, and climate patterns.

When the sediment turns into a rock, the decay is turned into gas and petroleum after a

a. million years
b. century
c. millennium
d. decade

Answers

When the sediment turns into a rock, the decay becomes gas and petroleum after a million years.

This is evident because when sediments turn into rock, there will still be some remnants of plants and other organisms underneath in a seafloor area.

These organisms will then be subjected to extreme heat and temperature, thereby turning them into fossil fuels.

These fossil fuels are what are explored and turn into natural gas and crude oil/petroleum.

The process of transforming the sediments into fossil fuels usually takes million years.

Hence, in this case, it is concluded that the correct answer is option A. "Million years."

Answers

Answer:

Oceanic Lithosphere

Explanatation

Oceanic lithosphere is more dense (compacted by immense pressure from oceans) and the continental lithosphere is less dense (lack of pressure from anything above it).  When the two collide, the continental lithosphere will essentially float on top of subterranean magma while the oceanic lithosphere, being the denser of the two, will slip beneath the continental lithosphere and dive into the magma chamber.

Explanation:

What is demographic Transition model?Demographic transition is a term used in demography to describe the historical shift from high birth rates and high death rates in societies with limited technology, education (especially for women), and economic development, as well as the stages in between. Despite the fact that this change has occurred in many industrialized countries, the theory and model are frequently inaccurate when applied to individual countries due to specific social, political, and economic circumstances affecting specific populations.

What are the five stages of Demographic Transition- FIRST STAGE (High stationary)-It is characterized by both A high birth rate and a high death rate.SECOND STAGE (Early expanding)-It begins with the Declining of death rate while Birth rate still remains high.THIRD STAGE (Late expanding)-Death rate declines further and Birth rate now begins to fall.FOURTH STAGE (Low stationary) This stage is characterized with Low birth rate and Low death rate.FIFTH STAGE: (Declining)-Birth rate is now lower than death rate Hence the population begins to decline.

Explain how human activity can affect the carbon cycle.

I will give brainlys but you have 5 minutes to answer or not get nothing

Answers

Answer:

lol

Explanation:

Human activity can affect the amount of carbon in the atmosphere. When fossil fuels like oil, coal, and natural gas are burned, carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere as waste. The clearcutting of forests for lumber and fuel also increases levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere because the trees can no longer remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere for photosynthesis. If trees are burned in order to be cleared, the burning processes release even more carbon dioxide into the air.
