Suddenly, I heard a loud thump and I stopped in my tracks. A tall figure stepped out from the darkness and approached me. I couldn't make out who or what it was, but it was wearing a long black cloak. The figure made its way closer, and I could see a pale face beneath the hood. Its eyes were empty and black and it stared at me intently.
It opened its mouth to speak, and its voice was like a low raspy whisper. It said, "You are the one. You must come with me." I was about to turn and run away, but before I could the figure had grabbed me and we were suddenly speeding through the air.
The cloaked figure flew us up into the sky, and I could see the stars twinkling around us. We flew for what seemed like hours, and I had no idea where we were going. Eventually, the figure descended and we landed in a strange city. The buildings were tall and strange, and I had never seen anything like them before.
The figure took me to a large palace, and I followed it inside. I was shown to a room and instructed to wait there. I sat there for what seemed like an eternity, until finally the figure returned.
It said, "You must go to the center of the city and find the Tree of Knowledge. You must climb the tree and answer the questions that are posed to you. If you answer the questions correctly, you will receive great knowledge and power."
With that, the figure vanished. I looked around me, and I was alone. I was alone in a strange city, and I had no idea where the Tree of Knowledge was or how to find it. I decided to take a chance, though, so I set out on my journey.
I walked through the city for what seemed like days, until I finally saw the Tree of Knowledge. I climbed the tree, and when I reached the top I was confronted by a strange man. He asked me a series of questions, and I answered them all correctly.
The man smiled, and said, "You have passed the test. You have been granted the knowledge and power of the Tree of Knowledge." I thanked him, and he vanished into thin air.
I awoke with a start, my heart pounding and my chest heaving. I sat up in my bed and took a few deep breaths. I had just had the strangest dream. I smiled as I remembered the details of the dream, and I was certain that I had been granted a great gift.
