It should be noted that the techniques are DNA fingerprinting and traditional fingerprinting.

DNA fingerprinting simply means a chemical test that is used to show the genetic makeup of an individual.

Traditional fingerprinting is also known as ink fingerprinting. In this case, the fingerprint of the person is rolled in ink in order to cover thee fingerprint area.

It should be noted that the main difference is that unlike the traditional fingerprinting that can be altered by surgery, the DNA fingerprinting is the same for the cell, tissue, and organ of the individual.

DNA fingerprinting is also used in the justice system in order to link suspects to evidences and also solve paternity cases.

Answer:

Mediums help attract an audience in many ways. However, some are more effective than others while some are more exciting and preferred. In the two presentations of DNA, two different mediums were used, a paragraph and interactivity.

Each type of medium is original while one is more effective than the other. Both mediums used for DNA information have their advantages and disadvantages. The first medium (Interactivity) was fun and exciting keeping the reader engrossed. In contrast, it was failing to inform as the second medium (Paragraph) informed much more about DNA. The second medium successfully informs about DNA. However, as it is a paragraph people have to use extended time to read long explanations.

This is why it is helpful to know that people can present their ideas in more than one medium. Presenting ideas in more than one medium will attract more people. Not everyone likes reading, some like doing interactives or seeing TV. This is why using more than one medium will reach and attract more people.

In my opinion, I liked the interactivity better because it was fun and exciting, and it caught my attention. However, not everyone will agree with me. For example, people who wish to learn as much as possible will prefer the paragraph because it teaches the most information. This is not only my opinion but also my classmates.

In conclusion, nobody is the same, everyone has different likes and opinions. This is why there are multiple mediums to reach as many people as possible.

This was my submitted work. Do not copy exactly, write it in your own words.

                                                                                      February 6, 2021.

The Chairman,

Osisioma Ngwa Local Council Area,

Aba.

          Sir,

                       URGENT REQUEST FOR INFRASTRUCTURAL FACILITIES

It is with a great sense of urgency that I write this letter to you sir. The state of Abia has been faced with an alarmingly increasing challenge of infrastructural decay over the past twenty years. The responsibility of infrastructural development now mostly lies with the administration of local council areas in recent time.

Sir, The Umungasi district in Osisioma Ngwa Local council area is a hub for major economic activities around the council area. Unfortunately, this district is facing terrible infrastructural decay such as lack of access roads and poor drainage systems. This has threatened to cut off some parts of the district from the rest of the Council area.

Secondly, the Umungasi district is the location where the state civil servants' low cost housing project is to be executed. This means that, in the near future, most of the civil servants in Abia State will move into Umungasi district. This implies more robust economic activities and more development to this district and the Local Council in general.  This may not be achieved in the midst of the infrastructural decay currently faced by the district,

It is my sincere plea that you treat this matter as urgent.

"Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced" - James Baldwin

Answers

Answer:

not everything we go through can be changed but we must go through things for even the possibility of change.

Explanation:

The above quote implies that Fear can keep us from facing what we know we should face.

Who was James Baldwin?

One of the most well-known individuals who was born in 1924 and passed away in 1987 was James Baldwin. He was a civil rights activist and writer.  He is most renowned for his racial, political, and sexual themes in semi-autobiographical plays and books.

Fear can prevent us from facing what we know we should face, as the proverb "Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced" suggests.

It is unlikely that the individual will be able to alter all of his issues and failings, and he will have little opportunity of doing so unless he has the guts to confront them.

Racecourse and discourse have the same root, course, which means "movement along a path."

Based on this information, what is the most likely definition of discourse?

extended discussion on a subject

fragmented conversation

major field of study

scattered bits of information

Answers

Answer:

extended discussion on a subject

Explanation:

Course as defined in the scenario above means movement along a path. The word discourse could therefore be broken into two:

dis - which plays the role of a prefix and ;

course - the root word meaning movement along a path

The prefix usually means : to break, move apart, deviate or opposite of something. Therefore combining the root word and the prefix, we might define discourse to mean a discussion or talks which isn't just in a certain direction or path, it could be characterized as being unusually long covering various fields.

Why is a friendly refusal preferable?

Answers

To sound freindly and inviting

Answer:

Because a friendly refusal does not diminish the self-esteem of those who propose something.

Explanation:

A friendly refusal is made in a simple and gentle way, without destroying anyone's self-esteem and showing reasons that allow this refusal to be made. This all maintains respect, understanding and well-being, both for those who proposed something and for those who refused. In this way we can say that a friendly refusal is preferable, because it does not create an uncomfortable situation.

Write a paragraph (about 80 words) about a problem you had while on holiday. Write: where/when you went, weather, means of transport, what happened.

Answers

Answer:

My last holiday was a five-day trip to Prague in the Czech Republic. I know Prague well because I lived there when I was at university, more than ten years ago.

Instead of staying in a hotel, I stayed with one of my old friends. It was so much fun, and a little bit like my old life. I wanted to do all the same things I did in my university days, so I visited the university. It has changed a lot and looks more modern. I also went to the supermarket near my old house. I loved seeing all the different foods. I was really happy to find my favourite cheese and chocolate biscuits but they were a bit more expensive than I remember!

We did some touristy things too. We walked up beautiful Petrin Hill and around the castle. The views of the city are amazing up there. We walked across the historic Charles Bridge. My friend's flat is very near the TV Tower so we saw the famous baby statues climbing up it. Those things haven't changed, of course.

What were corrupt and negative aspects of industrial cities, and how did early reformers attempt to address those issues?

Answers

Answer and Explanation:

Industrial cities exploited workers and did not pay them fairly. Allowing them not to have enough money to have a good quality of life. This meant that workers had to live in maginalized suburbs with little structure. In addition, the workplaces were inhospitable and caused various damages to workers.

The suburbs grew absurdly and got worse and worse, crime in these places skyrocketed and many residents lived in a situation of misery, even though they were working in factories.

The early reformers sought to create unions that demand fair treatment and payment to workers, so that they could have a dignified life. In addition to looking for improvements in the workplace and labor rights.

Answer:

Industrial cities of this time period played host to a variety of problems, such as corruption of city officials, who were often bribed to look the other way if safety or sanitary standards were not met. As well as unsafe living conditions. This was especially evident in the tenements in which many immigrants were forced to live in their own waste mixed with two or three of their neighbors simply because their was no room. Illnesses were more frequent in these areas and crime was an everyday thing. Laborers who worked in the factories were often subject to extremely unsafe conditions and incredibly low pay. Early reformers tried to stop this by creating labor unions, electing new officials, and building new homes for the immigrants to stay in and be educated in american culture and society so that they would fit in better,

Well, we just got a better idea about one mysterious creature of the deep ocean: the giant squid.Just recently a Japanese film crew managed to film a giant squid swimming in its natural habitat. They managed to lure it to their cameras with bait after many hours of waiting and searching two thousand feet below the surface of the Pacific Ocean. The giant squid is truly a giant. It can grow up to 50 feet in length, with tentacles making up most of this great length. For comparison, 50 feet is about as long as most school buses. Imagine meeting something the size of your school bus in the deep dark ocean and you might get an idea what it is like to meet a squid.Over the centuries, many squid specimens have been found, but it's hard to get an idea of how the squid lives because it typically cruises in the deepest depths of the ocean. We know that the giant squid's main predator is the sperm whale. We know this because bits of giant squid have been found in the stomachs of sperm whales. We also know they feed on deep-sea fish and other squid. We know this because of all the giant squid that have washed ashore. The giant squid lives in all of the world's oceansthough few are found in the tropics or the Arctic waters. As a result, stories of giant squid were told among sailors for hundreds of years. These sightings must have been frightening and may be the source for the legend of the Krakena sea monster reputed to be as large as an islandcapable of eating an entire ship.Read the following text from the passage:Just recently a Japanese film crew managed to film a giant squid swimming in its natural habitat. What does this sentence imply about the filming of the giant squid?A. it became like a job for the crew.B.
