WRITE AN ESSAY ON THE FOLLOWING TOPICS. WE HAVE TO PRESERVE OUR CULTURAL HERITAGES

Answers

Answer 1

Cultural heritage is the inheritance from earlier generations of a group or society's tangible and intangible heritage assets. Not every legacy left by previous generations qualifies as "heritage"; heritage is instead the result of social selection.

What is culture?

The term culture is defined the as all the ways of life including arts, beliefs, and institutions of a population that are passed down from generation to generation as we see there are different forms of culture that can be there in it and the people follow them also in it.

When it comes to "cultural heritage," the heritage is culture, values, and traditions rather than money or property. Cultural heritage suggests a connection between us and a sense of community. It stands for our identity, history, and connection to the past, present, and future.

Therefore, Cultural heritage is what a group or civilization has inherited from previous generations.

Answers

Answer:

A woman has three daughters. The older two have no luck at all but the youngest, Nella, is as usual lovely and talented and more or less perfect. She is having a secret affair with a handsome prince who lives many miles away. The two lovers build a glass tunnel that runs under the ground—from the prince’s castle into the princess’s bedroom, so that they might “joy together” without the mom’s knowing it. Every night the prince runs through the tunnel naked to spend time with his young princess.

Nella’s two sisters, who are ugly and evil, learn of the affair and smash the glass tunnel. That night the prince is running so fast to reach his young lover that he doesn’t see the broken glass and the skin all over his body is cut. Because the glass that cut him was enchanted his wounds will not heal. The prince’s father vows that the woman who can find a remedy for the enchanted wounds will be the prince’s wife and if a man heals him he will be given half the kingdom.

Nella is heartbroken upon hearing of her mortally wounded prince, and goes out disguised to at least see him before he dies. Luckily, she overhears two ogres telling each other that the only thing in the whole world that will heal the prince is to smear the fat from their own bodies all over the prince. Nella, pretending to be lost in the woods, begs the ogres to let her into their house. The ogre husband, fancying a bit of human flesh, lets her in eagerly but sadly he drinks so much alcohol that he passes out before he gets to eat her.

Nella quickly gets to work and slaughters him then collects all the fat from his body in a bucket. She makes her way to the prince’s palace. She smears the fat into the prince’s wounds and he is healed as if by magic, then she reveals her identity and the marriage is swiftly arranged. And her sisters? They are burned alive in typical fairy tale fashion, “so that like unto leeches they should purge their blood in the cinders of their wickedness and envy.”

In this text, the author gives examples of students whose failures helped them grow. In
your experience, how can failure help a person learn and ultimately succeed?

Answers

Answer:

Well, in a way it is, but it isn’t about your core personality, humanity or your soul. It’s much harder to bounce back when you take failure to heart too much and make it about your value as a person. Your importance to those who love you does not change when you fail; your potential to make a difference in the lives of those around you does not change. If anything, your potential increases with every failure experience you have, since the most painful events in life often give us the most valuable experiences and dramatic growth. Experiencing failure makes us more compassionate, and that also increases our capacity to make a difference in the world.

Answers

Answer:

O He receives a letter from the children. (Not exactly the children but the children's father Nnaemeka)

Explanation:

Chinua Achebe's short story "Marriage is a Private Affair" revolves around an Ibo man and his father's disagreement over a marriage. The story deals with themes of tradition, love, family, etc.

When Nnaemeka revealed he wanted to marry a woman he loves and not the one chosen by his father, Okeke, his father was adamant and broke all relations with him. Even after their wedding, he refused to accept his daughter-in-law and would remain so if not for the letter his son wrote to him. In his letter, Nnaemeka mentioned "from the day they learned that they have a grandfather, have insisted on being taken to him. I find it impossible to tell them that you will not see them."

It was through this letter that Okeke learned of his two grandsons.
