write a sentence in your own words explaining how knowledge is created.

Answers

Answer 1

Answer: Well Knowledge is created through practice, collaboration, interaction, and education, as the different knowledge types are shared and converted.

Explanation:

The ability to create new knowledge is often at the heart of the organization's competitive advantage. Sometimes this issue is not treated as part of knowledge management since it borders and overlaps with innovation management (Wellman 2009). Since I chose a broader knowledge management definition, I very much regard it as a part of the process, and I will refer (albeit superficially) to some theories that pertain to innovation.

Knowledge creation according to the Nonaka's SECI model is about continuous transfer, combination, and conversion of the different types of knowledge, as users practice, interact, and learn. Cook and Brown (1999) distinguish between knowledge and knowing, and suggest that knowledge creation is a product of the interplay between them. The shift in condition between the possession of knowledge and the act of knowing - something that comes about through practice, action, and interaction- is the driving force in the creation of new knowledge. Furthermore, in order for this interplay to be most fruitful, it is important to support unstructured work environments in areas where creativity and innovation are important.

Knowledge sharing and knowledge creation thus go hand in hand. Knowledge is created through practice, collaboration, interaction, and education, as the different knowledge types are shared and converted. Beyond this, knowledge creation is also supported by relevant information and data which can improve decisions and serve as building blocks in the creation of new knowledge.

To enable and encourage knowledge sharing: On the tactical side, as described in the previous subsection, management must understand where and in what forms knowledge exists. They must then provide the right forums for knowledge to be shared. For tacit knowledge this implies a particular emphasis on informal communication, while for explicit knowledge this implies a focus on a variety of IT systems. On the strategic side (to be discussed in-depth later), management must create/design the right environments, processes, and systems that provide the means and willingness for it to take place.

To create a suitable work environment: This includes the notion of creating an interplay between knowledge and knowing. It implies offering relevant courses and education, but most importantly allowing new knowledge to be created through interaction, practice, and experimentation. Botha et al (2008) point to the importance of shared experiences in the knowledge creation process when dealing with tacit knowledge, and the need for an environment where these can be formed. March (1988) discusses how our cultural norms often stifle innovation and new knowledge creation. He advocates environments where we recognize that goals can be created through action, where intuition is accepted and valued, and where experience is nothing more than a theory. These concepts bring us back to the concept of theory in use (referring to work environments that do not follow strict, "official" rules and procedures), and the acceptance and support of environments that allow brainstorming, trial and error, and unstructured interaction.

As an example, from innovation theory, one can refer to the practice of establishing teams to solve problems, unhindered by the bureaucracy that may exist in the firm. Peters (1988) refers to the value of chaos and the advantage of smaller, fast-acting teams. One common alternative is the use of cross-functional project teams. These are usually a group of experts from different parts of the organization, led by a "generalist" project leader. If these teams are allowed the freedom to experiment and work in an autonomous, or virtually autonomous environment, it can be a great catalyst for innovation and new knowledge creation. Then, once the task is complete, the members return to their role in the organization, helping to spread this knowledge back into their own community of practice. The project team itself can also facilitate the creation of bridges between communities of practice, and at times may even serve as a way to extend them. Variations of this concept can be seen in several places in innovation theory, notably in Nonaka and Takeuchi's self-organizing project teams in the hypertext organization.

To provide systems that support the work process: These can be groupware systems that facilitate communication or brainstorming. However, they must not interfere with creative processes or communities of practice, or enforce rigid organizational practices (espoused theory).

what does the last line of the poem meeting at night tell you?

Answers

Answer: The poem is written in two stanzas of six lines each. The first stanza describes the excitement of a secret journey by a boat on the sea. The second stanza describes the joy of the meeting of the two lovers. The main theme of this poem is the urgency and desire for the lover to meet the beloved. In the last two lines, the speaker makes it to the “black land” that was previously spotted in the distance. It is in a “cove” he has landed and, without help, he pushes his boat onto the “slushy sand.” A reader should take note of the use of alliteration in these two lines.

Pavel’s interaction with Miklos contributes to the plot by pavels journey

Answers

Without more context about the plot of Pavel's journey or the specific nature of Pavel's interaction with Miklos, it is difficult to provide a definitive answer to this question. However, in general, it is possible for a character's interactions with other characters to contribute to the plot of a story by advancing the character's journey or adding complications to their path.

For example, Pavel's interaction with Miklos may introduce a new obstacle or challenge that Pavel must overcome in order to achieve his goals or complete his journey. Alternatively, it may provide a moment of insight or realization for Pavel, leading him to re-evaluate his beliefs or change his course of action.

It is also possible that Pavel's interaction with Miklos may be relatively inconsequential to the plot of his journey, serving primarily to provide additional context or depth to Pavel's character or the world in which he exists.

Ultimately, the significance of Pavel's interaction with Miklos in contributing to the plot of his journey will depend on the specifics of the story being told and the author's intent.

write me a 5 minute speech about unemployment

Answers

Answer:

Ladies and gentlemen,

Unemployment is one of the most pressing issues facing our society today. It affects millions of people around the world, causing financial hardship, social stigma, and feelings of hopelessness. But unemployment is not just a personal problem - it has far-reaching consequences for the economy and society as a whole.

The impact of unemployment on individuals cannot be overstated. People who lose their jobs may struggle to make ends meet, leading to poverty, homelessness, and even hunger. They may also experience psychological distress, such as depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem, stemming from the loss of income and social status.

But the effects of unemployment are not limited to individuals. High levels of unemployment can have a negative impact on the entire economy. When people are out of work, they have less money to spend, which in turn reduces demand for goods and services. This can lead to a decrease in economic activity, including production, consumption, and investment. In addition, high rates of unemployment can lead to social unrest and political instability, undermining the fabric of society.

So what can we do to address the problem of unemployment? The first step is to understand its underlying causes. Unemployment can be caused by a variety of factors, including changes in technology, shifts in consumer demand, and fluctuations in the business cycle. It can also be caused by structural problems in the labor market, such as inadequate education and training, discrimination, and lack of access to capital.

One solution to unemployment is to invest in education and job training programs. By providing workers with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in today's job market, we can help them find employment and contribute to the economy. Another solution is to promote entrepreneurship and innovation, creating new opportunities for individuals who want to start their own businesses or pursue careers in emerging industries.

Government policies can also play a crucial role in reducing unemployment. For example, fiscal and monetary policies can be used to stimulate the economy during times of recession, creating jobs and increasing demand for goods and services. Labor market policies, such as minimum wage laws and unemployment insurance, can help protect workers from exploitation and provide a safety net for those who lose their jobs.

In conclusion, unemployment is a complex problem that requires a multi-faceted approach. We must address its underlying causes, invest in education and job training programs, promote entrepreneurship and innovation, and implement effective government policies. By working together to tackle this issue, we can create a brighter future for ourselves and future generations. Thank you.

What was different about the Vietnam war compared to the united states previous wars

Answers

There were several significant differences between the Vietnam War and previous wars fought by the United States.

Guerilla Warfare: The Vietnam War was primarily fought as a guerilla war, where the enemy forces were difficult to identify and attacked in small groups. This type of warfare was very different from the conventional warfare of previous wars, such as World War II, where the enemy was more clearly defined, and battles were fought in open terrain.

Geographic Location: The Vietnam War was fought in Southeast Asia, far from the United States, unlike previous wars where the United States was fighting in Europe or on its own soil.

Public Opinion: The Vietnam War was the first war that was widely televised and reported by journalists. This allowed the American public to see the horrors of war firsthand, which led to growing opposition to the war and protests against it.

Draft: Unlike previous wars, such as World War II, where most soldiers were volunteers, the Vietnam War relied heavily on a draft system. This led to resentment among many young Americans who were forced to fight in a war they did not support.

Outcome: The Vietnam War was the first major military conflict that the United States did not win. The war ended in a stalemate, with the North Vietnamese forces ultimately defeating the South Vietnamese forces and unifying the country under communist rule.

These differences made the Vietnam War a unique and challenging conflict for the United States, and its impact is still felt today.

The actions and thoughts of characters in a text serve as a critical tool in developing the central theme. Through their actions, characters can reveal the true nature of society and its flaws, highlighting the need for change and progress.

In any given text, the actions and thoughts of the characters play a critical role in developing the central theme. In the text "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee, for example, the characters' actions and thoughts revolve around the theme of prejudice and discrimination.

The character of Atticus Finch, a lawyer who defends a black man accused of raping a white woman, stands in stark contrast to the rest of the white community, who is deeply prejudiced against black people.

Atticus' unwavering belief in the equality of all people, regardless of their race, shapes his actions throughout the text, as he seeks to defend Tom Robinson, a black man wrongly accused of a crime he did not commit. Atticus' actions highlight the hypocrisy and irrationality of the prevailing prejudice and discrimination in society.

Similarly, the character of Scout, Atticus' daughter, offers a unique perspective on the theme of prejudice and discrimination.

Through her innocent observations, Scout reveals the insidiousness of prejudice and its effects on individuals and society. Scout's thoughts and actions throughout the text serve to highlight the need for greater understanding and empathy.

Finally, the actions and thoughts of other characters, such as Bob Ewell, reinforce the theme of prejudice and discrimination. Through their ignorance and fear, these characters perpetuate a cycle of hate and violence.
