How did Abraham Lincoln interpret the secession of Southern states?
Lincoln believed they committed acts of treason.
Lincoln surrendered to Confederate forces.
Lincoln granted them full independence.
Lincoln acknowledged the legitimacy of the new nation.
Answer:
A.
Explanation:
The secessionists claimed that according to the Constitution every state had the right to leave the Union. Lincoln claimed that they did not have that right. He opposed secession for these reasons:
1. Physically the states cannot separate.
2. Secession is unlawful.
3. A government that allows secession will disintegrate into anarchy.
4. That Americans are not enemies, but friends.
5. Secession would destroy the world's only existing democracy, and prove for all time, to future Americans and to the world, that a government of the people cannot survive.

The railroads established fair rates for customers.
The federal government providing free land to the railroad companies aided the building of transcontinental railroads.
The factor that aided the building of transcontinental railroads was the federal government providing free land to the railroad companies. Through acts such as the Pacific Railroad Act of 1862, the government granted extensive land grants to encourage and support the construction of railroads across the country. These land grants provided the companies with valuable resources and incentives to undertake the massive infrastructure projects required for the transcontinental railroads. The land could be sold or used to generate revenue, helping to finance the construction. Additionally, the land grants allowed the railroads to establish a network of tracks and stations, enabling them to expand their operations and connect different regions of the country. This government support played a crucial role in the successful completion of the transcontinental railroads. For more such questions on Railroads:

Andrew Jackson was the seventh president of the United States. He served two terms in office from 1829 to 1837.
During Jackson’s presidency, the United States evolved from a republic—in which only landowners could vote—to a mass democracy, in which white men of all socioeconomic classes were enfranchised.
Jackson oversaw the Indian Removal Act, which forcibly relocated tens of thousands of Native Americans and had a devastating effect on the Native population.
don't copy word for word but here is a overview
Answer:
This was my rough draft, but if you want to use it made sure you change some stuff so you don't get in trouble for plagiarizing!!
(this is at least 600 words)
Explanation:
Who was the 7th president of the United States? Well it was Andrew Jackson and there's a lot more to it! Here’s some crazy things he had done and was a part of, Jackson took part in the Corrupt Election of 1824, and also created the Jacksonian Democracy, and Indian Removal Act. He also happened to be an American Soldier before becoming president, more on that later though. And these topics all happen to be the topics we’re talking about so let's get into it!
Jackson was a part of the Corrupt Election of 1824, although he did not have the majority votes he had the most, yet he still lost! This is what caused the Corrupt Bargain of 1824. That year he was running for president against John Quincy Adams, who happened to be coming in 2nd place. So how did Jackson lose? Since neither had majority votes, and they were decently close in tallies, they had to go to the house of representatives for them to choose the next president. The House of Representatives did not like Andrew Jackson as much, so most of the House of Representatives voted for John Quincy Adams. Even when Jackson had the most votes before going to the House of Representatives. In return John Quincy Adam gave the Head of the House of Representatives a job at the White house, as President. This is what created the Corrupt Bargain. This angered Andrew Jackson and at the next election he went full out, including saying how he had been an American soldier, so he could get more votes. And it ended up working and he became president for the next two terms. To be more specific he served from March 4th 1829 through March 4th 1837.
In 1825 Andrew Jackson created the Jacksonian Democracy and ended up making it last about 30 years! The Jacksonian Democracy was built on the principles of expanded suffrage, Manifest Destiny, Patronage, strict constructionism, and laissez-faire economics. He created the expanded suffrage which caused people to have more voting rights. This also caused that none of the states when entering the Union required white men to have property if they wanted to vote. And By the Civil war none of the states except one had property requirements. There was also a patronage, also known as the spoils system where the President can choose the people he works around in the government. If he wanted someone to have the job, and if they wanted the job. They got the job. Jackson also preferred a hands off approach to the economy which also was part of the opposition of the Federal bank. There was slight good, regarding the not so great. Jackson did not have very much education, although Elites with education were still favors, Jackson did not really care.
In 1830, Andrew Jackson created the Indian Removal Act, also known as the Trail of Tears. Most white Americans supported this act because it gave many Southerners the chance to expand more. Many Indians were forced to go to lands that Americans choose for them, and make the Natives leave the places they were living. A few of the Indian tribes had gone peacefully, but since they were being forced to leave many resisted the recolonization. It took the fall and winter of 1838 and 1839, and approximately 4,000 Cherokees died during this forced recolonization.
In the end, Andrew Jackson had done many things for this country. This included participating in The Corrupt Bargain of 1824, creating the Jacksonian Democracy, and creating the Indian removal act.

Answer:
Option A, They can appeal the case decision to the U.S. Supreme Court, is the right answer. (this isn't my answer credits to Priatouri)
Explanation:
The U.S. Supreme Court was organised by Article III of the Constitution of the United States. It is the highest of all courts in the federal judiciary system of the United States. The Supreme Court entertains the ultimate authority over all the cases of federal and state courts.
The Judiciary Act of 1789 gave the Supreme Court the power to hear cases and appeals from the state courts. Therefore, if a group of citizens lose their case in the Florida Supreme Court and believe that the Constitution has not been followed in the jurisdiction they can simply appeal in the Supreme Court of the United States.
