Answer 1

The Founding Fathers were justified in rebelling against the Britain government because the government was not protecting the rights of the citizens, taxed the colonists and forced them to house British soldiers.

How do these event led to the rebellion?

In 1756, the Britain government put the first tax on the colonists, which was called the Stamp Act that required the colonists to pay taxes on certain items such as newspapers, legal documents, licenses, and even playing cards. This angered the colonists and they began to boycott purchasing of taxed items.

The Colonists were also expected to house soldiers in ale houses, inns and in the homes of those who sold wine. A legislation required all colonists to provide food for any British soldiers in the area. The colonists were still housing British soldiers after the American Revolution came to a close.

John Locke have argued for natural rights for all and thought that the government had the responsibility to protect the citizens’ rights. In his opinion, the government was violating the citizens’ rights.

So, the the Founding Fathers were justified in rebelling because the British government was taking advantage of the colonists. The British Parliament applied various taxes and forced the colonists to house British soldiers which violated the rights of the colonists.

C. the violence between pro- and anti-slavery settlers prevented any compromise between the north and south, leading to secession.
D. south carolina was displeased with the ultimate decision that both kansas and nebraska would be free, leading to secession.

The correct answer is D. Kansas-Nebraska act lead to South Carolina's secession from the union because South Carolina was displeased with the ultimate decision that both kansas and nebraska would be free, leading to secession.

In particular, the law permitted popular elections to decide whether slavery would be permitted in a new territory even though it had previously been outlawed. These regional conflicts over slavery exploded into violent clashes, which ultimately resulted in the southern states' secession and the outbreak of the Civil War. The contentious Kansas-Nebraska Act, sometimes known as the Kansas-Nebraska Act, presented the potential that slavery would be permitted in areas where it had previously been prohibited. Its adoption heightened the acrimonious debate over slavery in the US, which would later erupt into the Civil War.
