Answer:
I awoke with a start, my heart pounding and my chest heaving. I sat up in my bed and took a few deep breaths. I had just had the strangest dream. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and tried to remember the details of the dream, but it all seemed to be slipping away from me.
I was walking through a dark forest and the trees were so thick that I couldn't see anything beyond them. The air was thick and humid and I could hear strange noises coming from the shadows. I felt a chill run down my spine as I walked, and I was certain that something was watching me.
Suddenly, I heard a loud thump and I stopped in my tracks. A tall figure stepped out from the darkness and approached me. I couldn't make out who or what it was, but it was wearing a long black cloak. The figure made its way closer, and I could see a pale face beneath the hood. Its eyes were empty and black and it stared at me intently.
It opened its mouth to speak, and its voice was like a low raspy whisper. It said, "You are the one. You must come with me." I was about to turn and run away, but before I could the figure had grabbed me and we were suddenly speeding through the air.
The cloaked figure flew us up into the sky, and I could see the stars twinkling around us. We flew for what seemed like hours, and I had no idea where we were going. Eventually, the figure descended and we landed in a strange city. The buildings were tall and strange, and I had never seen anything like them before.
The figure took me to a large palace, and I followed it inside. I was shown to a room and instructed to wait there. I sat there for what seemed like an eternity, until finally the figure returned.
It said, "You must go to the center of the city and find the Tree of Knowledge. You must climb the tree and answer the questions that are posed to you. If you answer the questions correctly, you will receive great knowledge and power."
With that, the figure vanished. I looked around me, and I was alone. I was alone in a strange city, and I had no idea where the Tree of Knowledge was or how to find it. I decided to take a chance, though, so I set out on my journey.
I walked through the city for what seemed like days, until I finally saw the Tree of Knowledge. I climbed the tree, and when I reached the top I was confronted by a strange man. He asked me a series of questions, and I answered them all correctly.
The man smiled, and said, "You have passed the test. You have been granted the knowledge and power of the Tree of Knowledge." I thanked him, and he vanished into thin air.
I awoke with a start, my heart pounding and my chest heaving. I sat up in my bed and took a few deep breaths. I had just had the strangest dream. I smiled as I remembered the details of the dream, and I was certain that I had been granted a great gift.

Explanation: Like knives and hammers, guns are merely tools, and how they are used entirely depends on the user. Supporters of firearms claim that the Second Amendment guarantees the individual's right to carry a gun with them, that the right to bear arms is necessary for self-defense, and that it was designed for the military to maintain peace and defend the nation if necessary . The majority of Americans feel that having guns deters crime and that they are a necessary means of self-defense. A study completed on November 26, 2013 revealed that state-level homicide rates were not significantly impacted by gun bans . Additionally, despite the fact that gun control laws are followed, not all criminals do.
Numerous mass shootings and senseless acts of violence with firearms and other weapons shock Americans every year. Additionally, 18,000 of the 100,000 persons who are shot each year are youngsters and teenagers. According to estimates, at least one gun is owned by approximately half of American homes. As a result, many people, including kids and other family members, can have access to firearms. Many school-based attacks include young individuals using parent-owned weapons while rampaging through schools and other locations. Similar to how easy it is to obtain guns, many Americans have died in a vulnerable state. Read the excerpt below from the Yung Wing's book My Life in China and America published in 1909.
As early as 1834, an English lady, Mrs. Gutzlaff, wife of the Rev. Charles Gutzlaff, a missionary to China, came to Macao and, under the auspices of the Ladies' Association in
London for the promotion of female education in India and the East, immediately took up the work of her mission by starting a girls' school for Chinese girls, which was soon
followed by the opening of a school for boys also.
Mrs. Gutzlaff's governmental official happened to come from the village I did and was, in fact, my father's friend and neighbor. It was through him that my parents heard about
Mrs. Gutzlaff's school and it was doubtless through his influence and means that my father got me admitted into the school. It has always been a mystery to me why my parents
should take it into their heads to put me into a foreign school, instead of a regular orthodox Confucian school, where my brother much older than myself was placed. Most
assuredly such a step would have been more in play with Chinese public sentiment, taste, and the wants of the country at large, than to allow me to attend an English school;
moreover, a Chinese cult is the only avenue in China that leads to political preferment, influence, power and wealth. I can only account for the departure thus taken on the theory
that as foreign intercourse with China was just beginning to grow, my parents, anticipating that it might soon assume the proportions of a tidal wave, thought it worth while to take
time by the reins and put one of their sons to learning English that he might become one of the advanced interpreters and have a more advantageous position from which to make
his way into the business and diplomatic world. This I take to be the chief aim that influenced my parents to put me into Mrs. Gutzlaff's Mission School.
