Answer:
This is the Cinderella short story. Once upon a time, there was a simple and beautiful girl named Cinderella. She lived with her evil stepmother and two stepsisters. The stepmother did not like her and made her do all the household work. Her stepsisters just never had to work, they just roamed around the house in their fancy dresses. They always made fun of Cinderella because of her plain dressing. One day, a letter from the king came to their house which said that the king is having a ball tonight and his son ‘The Prince’ would be choosing a wife; every girl in the kingdom must be aware. Everyone got excited about reading this, Cinderella too wanted to go to the ball. Her stepmother told her that she can go if she completes all her work on time and also helps her stepsisters with their dresses for the ball. Cinderella worked as fast as she could to get everything done but there was always something left. At last, she was left at home disappointedShe was so sad that she ran to the garden and said, “wishes never come true”. “Never my dear?” said a voice, as Cinderella looked up a little woman with a wand and a kind smile stood in front of her. She was her fairy godmother. She wanted to help Cinderella go to the ball. With a wave of her hand, she made Cinderella looked like a princess. She gave her a beautiful new gown, glass slippers, and shiny black horses to reach the ball. Before leaving, the fairy godmother said “this magic will only last until midnight! You must reach back home by then!”.
When Cinderella entered the palace, everybody was awestruck by her beauty, she was the prettiest girl in the ball. Even her stepsisters didn’t recognize her. The handsome prince also saw her and fell in love with her. All the other girls were very jealous of her because the prince danced with her the whole night. She enjoyed herself so much that she almost forgot what the fairy godmother had told her about her magic. However, when she saw the time and remembered godmother’s words she quickly left the palace and ran away. In all the hurry, one glass slipper which she was wearing was left on the castle steps.
The prince had fallen in love with her and wanted to find out who she was as he wanted to marry her. Next day, he ordered his king’s men to go to every house in the land and find the girl whose foot fits in the glass slipper. When they reached Cinderella’s house, the two stepsisters tried their best to squeeze their big feet into the slippers, but they could not make it. Finally, when Cinderella tried the slipper, her foot fit perfectly into the glass slipper. The prince recognized her from the ball night. He married Cinderella soon in a grand ceremony and they lived happily ever after.

If the story was written in the third-person omniscient point of view, we would have known from the beginning that Landlady had bad intentions, as shown in option A.
We can arrive at this answer because:
The story is told from the first-person point of view, allowing the narrator to be Billy. In this case, we only know what Billy knows, as he only narrates what he sees.Billy doesn't know Landlady has bad intentions and neither do we.However, if the story were told from the third-person omniscient point of view, we would have access to all the characters' thoughts and knowledge right from the start. If so, we would know that Landlady had bad intentions from the start.

What do you know about DNA?DNA, also known as deoxyribonucleic acid, is the molecule that carries the genetic material necessary for an organism's growth and operation. DNA is formed of two connected strands that loop around one another to resemble a twisted ladder, a structure known as a double helix.
Due to the fact that the two DNA strands are made up of less complex monomeric units known as nucleotides, they are referred to as polynucleotides.
Each nucleotide is made up of a phosphate group, a deoxyribose sugar, and one of the four nucleobases that contain nitrogen (cytosine [C], guanine [G], adenine [A], or thymine [T]). An alternating sugar-phosphate backbone is created when covalent connections (also known as the phosphodiester linkage) between the sugar of one nucleotide and the phosphate of the next are used to connect the nucleotides in a chain.

Why Athletes Are Good Role Models
We have long admired athletes and their efforts towards the goal of winning. We idolize them and want us to be like them. What if they realize that they too are human and some of them become greedy and selfish? Many athletes are exemplary citizens who truly deserve respect, but there are also some bad people who ruin everyone's lives. Athletes can inspire young people to work hard for their hard work to pay off, but no one is pure and perfect. Greed takes some players, but we shouldn't give them all our attention. You should take a look at
Shaquille O'Neill, who bought more than 1000 turkeys and donated them for Thanksgiving to families across the country in need. I've never heard of any mention of this in the news. With their propaganda, they make you believe that all athletes are bad people. We'd have a different opinion on this hard-working athlete if they had half the time to cover a good story on how to construct a bad one.
Michael Jordan has started a foundation that donates money for research to help physically challenged children. He has been running up the tabs at
Atlantic City casinos, but who hasn't gambled? We are not perfect. Michael may gamble, but he does his share of helping and works hard for what he has acquired.
Gambling is no crime, so then he is not showing us a negative thing. If his parents do not approve of his gambling, it should be banned because he has done nothing wrong. Michael, like any other athlete, realizes that millions of people are constantly watching him and tries to act accordingly.
In a recent NBA interview with Charles
Barkley, he was very controversial about his remarks that he was a parent rather than a role model. He says his parents shouldn't blame an athlete for not being able to control their children. Another person who agrees with this view is soccer and basketball star Deion Sanders.

Celebrities/sports figures are not ideal role models because they are sometimes associated with negative behavior. Some celebrities/sports figures have created disruptions on a number of occasions. Another reason it isn't a good idea to look at celebrities/sports figures as role models is that many celebrities have very young fans, and they are well aware of this fact.
But it doesn't stop them from acting in ways that their younger fans can't see. While they are not compelled to act like saints, they do take some responsibility for the picture they present. One of the final reasons why celebrities or sports figures should not be looked up to as role models is that you do not know what they are capable of. You believe they are a good person until they do something awful, and finding out that your role model isn't who they appear to be would be devastating. Finally, it is preferable if your model is someone you know well. In conclusion, the behavior of celebrities and sports figures is often associated with bad behavior, violence, and a variety of other unacceptable behaviors, making them poor role models. Children look up to them, so it would be unacceptable if they did something bad that they saw their role models do.

Over the past ten years more than two dozen athletes have died from the medical condition known as heatstroke. Heatstroke occurs when the body's internal temperature becomes so
elevated that its cooling system begins shutting down. Who is most at risk? Surprisingly, it is younger athletes. They often either do not recognize or ignore the warning signs until it's too
late. To make matters worse, children's bodies are much less efficient than adults at cooling themselves. A promising new product hopes to end the all too common heatstroke trend. It is
called a thermometer pill
2 While it doesn't look much different from the average vitamin capsule, the work it does inside the body is truly amazing. Once ingested these capsules send an internal body
temperature reading to a portable device that is not much bigger than an iPhone. A coach or professional trainer monitors the device during practices or events held when temperatures
and heat indexes are particularly high. If an athlete's body temperature reaches a dangerous level, the monitor immediately transmits an alert. The player is then rushed indoors and
placed in an ice bath to rapidly decrease his or her body temperature. This is important, since internal organs can begin shutting down at 105 degrees Fahrenheit
5 While these tiny lifesavers have proven to be effective, they are quite expensive. On average the cost is $50.00 per pill. However, many parents of young athletes say that it is a small
price to pay for the piece of mind it gives them on a hot, sultry day.
1) Which of these BEST describes the author's view about thermometer pills?
A) The author thinks thermometer pills are effective but too expensive.
B) The author thinks thermometer pills need more testing to be considered safe.
The author thinks thermometer pills are a potentially promising answer to heatstroke.
D) The author thinks thermometer pills are the only way to protect young athletes from heatstroke.
Answer:
The answer is A
Explanation:
Because the author stated "It is
called a thermometer pill. While it doesn't look much different from the average vitamin capsule, the work it does inside the body is truly amazing."
Showing that he loves the idea of the thermometer pill but, later in the text, it states "While these tiny lifesavers have proven to be effective, they are quite expensive. On average the cost is $50.00 per pill."
This shows that he agrees that the pills are effective but he did notice they are sold at a costly price and are "too expensive."
This is why the answer is A.
