A opinion is a statement that is not true across all grounds. It can depend on the person's viewpoint or beliefs. An example would be, 'I think my shoes look very nice today.'

1. 'I like summer most of all' : Is this statement a belief or viewpoint? Do you know that you like summer most of all? Perhaps you don't. Perhaps your neighbor hates summer actually. Since this statement reflects the author's viewpoint that summer is their favorite season, this is an opinion.

2. 'People can do lots of things during summer.' : Is this statement a belief? This is harder to distinguish, but I believe it's a fact. Not everyone can do everything over the summer and since the author uses the word 'can', they know that there is that possibility of being able to do things during summer, it can be a fact since it only focuses on a select amount of people.

3. 'Others like playing outdoor games.' : This is an opinion because not everyone likes to play outdoor games. Even in the summer, there may be children running around to read books inside.

4. 'Everybody waits for summer.' : Opinion, because not everyone waits for summer and this is a belief that the author holds that isn't exactly truthful.

5. 'Some families stay home and have some fun doing summer activities while others spend their summer in other places on a vacation.' : This is surprisingly a fact, because it does not generalize everyone and says a fact about SOME families doing this sort of lifestyle during the summer.
