Excited to tell him what she has found, Sylvia comes home. She wants to man to like her, to admire her. But, in the end, she is unable to tell him where to find the bird. The man leaves, disappointed, but Sylvia keeps the bird from being shot and killed. Here, we see a character vs self conflict and Sylvia struggles to make her decision.
