and i also need to write a second paragraph about how the film is similar to and different from the text in terms of the details it depicts as well as how the film uses lighting, sound, color, camera focus, or camera angles to present the story in a unique way

Answers

Answer 1

"Charles," which is narrated by Laurie Hymen's mother, tells the tale of Laurie's first day of school and the boy's development from a bright toddler to an independent schoolboy who tells his daily adventures to his family.

What is the summary of the story?

Shirley Jackson is an American author of the short tale Charles. Jackson wrote hilarious stories that emphasized realism and credible events from ordinary life, but she is most renowned for her spooky tales. The primary character in "Charles," Laurie, and his alter persona, Charles, are loosely based on Laurence Jackson, Jackson's son. It focuses on Laurie's quest for identification and is told from the mother's perspective.

The narrative opens with Laurie's mother recounting her son's kindergarten orientation. On this day, he vowed to stop wearing his juvenile corduroy overalls and start dressing in adult blue jeans with a belt. He experiences other changes as well, such as being noisy and arrogant, slamming doors and interrupting his parents.

During the first few weeks of school, Charles yells so loudly that it disturbs other classrooms, is rude to the teacher, and damages a few other children. Charles' influence soon spreads across the entire family; now, anytime someone misbehaves or something goes wrong, the family blames it on Charles. Laurie's behavior deteriorates throughout those same weeks, reflecting Charles' issues at school. This worries Laurie's mother, who worries that Charles is having an impact on her beloved son.

Humans can travel to Mars because the earth will eventually die out and we will have to choose whether to live here, die here, or adapt. Adapting to another planet (mars) is the best option because it has as much water as the United States and a mars base, as well as many other facilities, can be built.

Why do we read about Mars? So Mars is red because its entire surface is covered in rusty dust! Mars has some of the galaxy's largest dust storms, in which red dust is whipped into the planet's light atmosphere. This explains why Mars appears to have a red sky. Many rocks on Mars are iron-rich, and when exposed to the elements, they 'oxidize' and turn reddish, similar to how an old bike left out in the yard rusts. When rusty dust from those rocks enters the atmosphere, it turns the martian sky pink. The search for life, understanding the surface and the planet's evolution, and preparing for future human exploration are the scientific reasons for going to Mars. Understanding whether there is life outside of Earth is a fundamental question for humanity.

what is the character arch for the 3 main characters of american born Chinese
Jin Wang
Danny
The Monkey King
:)

Answers

The character arch for the 3 main characters of American Born Chinese are Jin Wang/Danny, The Monkey King/Chin-Kee and Wei-Chen Sun.

What is American Born Chinese?
In contrast to the term "Chinese American," "American-born Chinese" may not always refer to U.S. citizenship. Because China forbids its citizens from holding multiple citizenships, many (mainland) Chinese nationals who were born in the United States choose to renounce their U.S. citizenship. Some claim that the phrase always connotes foreigners. It has been noted that the term diverges from typical immigrant designation patterns used in American English today. For instance, Elon Musk is referred to as a "South African-born American," and Peter Thiel is referred to as a "American-born German." The first demographic term in both of these examples refers to the individual's citizenship at birth, while the second refers to his citizenship at the time of the incident. The first demographic term in the case of "American-born Chinese" however, refers to the subject's citizenship at birth (or currently) and the second word to ethnicity.

The character arch for Jin Wang is that he starts out feeling like an outsider in both the Chinese and American communities. He eventually comes to accept himself for who he is and finds a place in both worlds.

The character arch for Wei-Chen Sun is that he starts out as a shy and introverted boy who is not very confident in himself. He starts to come out of his shell more and more as he makes friends with the other two main characters, and by the end of the story he is a more confident and outgoing person.

The Monkey King is a powerful and wise ruler in the Chinese world who helps Jin and Danny navigate their two cultures and find a balance between them.
