Nila told him that she had to study hard so that one day she can support her family and earn a name for herself in this world. The boy was still at a loss of words and he ran away.  

The next day some other boys came to tease her and just as she reached there Alam scared away the other boys. He told Nila he understood her struggles as he faced problems at home too. The two of them started helping each other. Nila helped him with his studies and he protected her. Thus they both became friends.
