How does the author foreshadow, hint at, the changes that will occur in jaun's personality and his life ? Provide examples of foreshadowing along with the changes they foretell

Answers

Answer:

One foreshadowing act is when he reported the fellow worker who tried to organize a strike, leading to Juan's promotion. Again, he also states that "You don't form a habit by doing something once", which he proved wrong. These two examples are part of the factors that lead up to his 'power greed' and eventually led to his execution from his self-censored letter.

Explanation:

Foreshadowing is a literary technique that writers employ to provide hints about what will happen in future scenes. This allows the readers to have a sense of suspense, foreboding, and expectant about what is to happen to the character(s).

In the short story "The Censors" by Luisa Valenzuela, the authoritative regime of the government in censoring the letters of the people through a "Censor's Secret Command" shows the level of freedom the people are subjected to. And Juan, the protagonist of the story, also gets involved in the 'power play' where he, at first wants to join the Command only to ensure the safety of his letter to Mariana who has escaped to Paris. But once affiliated with the job, he gets dragged into the world of the 'power' the post/ job provides. And eventually, he brought his own death when he censors his letter so much that it was seized by the government and the writer/sender executed.

Some examples of foreshadowing are when he states "You don't form a habit by doing something once" which he proved wrong. Moreover, his act of turning in his colleague, who "tried to organize a strike to demand higher wages for unhealthy work" is another foreshadowing. This is because by turning in the guy, he got promoted which led him to get into higher posts where he eventually brought about his own downfall and is executed.

When the short days of winter camedusk fell before we had well eaten our dinners. When we met in the streetthe houses had grown sombre. The space of sky above us was the colour of ever-changing violet and towards it the lamps of the street lifted their feeble lanterns. The cold air stung us andwe played till our bodies glowed. which information should he include in the MLA in-text citation? select two options

Answers

Answer: A: The Author

C: The Book Title

Explanation:

Just took quiz on edge :) good luck!

The author and the page number are the information should he include in the MLA in-text citation. Hence, options A and F are correct.

What is MLA in-text citation?

In MLA in-text citations, the last name of the author and the page number where the quotation or paraphrase is taken are used, for example. If the source doesn't use page numbers, leave it out of the parenthetical citation.

An MLA website citation includes the name of the author, the title of the page, the name of the website the date the work was published, and the URL. If it's unclear who the author is, start with the page's title.

When using the APA style, cite sources in-text using the author-date format. For example, this necessitates the inclusion of the author's last name and the year the source was published in the text.

Thus, options A and F are correct.

Answer:

Hamlet is the main character and protagonist in the play “Hamlet” by William Shakespeare.  Hamlet is the Prince of Denmark.  He is the son of Queen Gertrude and King Hamlet, who was murdered by his uncle Claudius.  Hamlet is a very unique individual and handles many situations in unusual ways.  Hamlet is an extremely intriguing and complex character that appears to change with every different perspective. Shakespeare has done an absolutely fantastic job with capturing true human characteristics with Hamlet.  Hamlet bounces back and forth with his emotions so inconsistently that one never knows what he is about to do next.  One moment he is rational, and the next he is not.  One moment he wants to plan things out, and then he does things. The ghost made the whole situation for Hamlet seem even that much more unreal.  He already wished that all of the recent events he had to deal with were not real.  He then has to deal with the reality of this ghost.  It seems to influence him terribly and takes a negative toll on his emotions.  This occurrence continues to further diversify Hamlet’s feelings and emotions (Snider, 67).  The last major external influence is the company of others (Snider, 71).  How hamlet responded had a lot to do with the actions done by others and himself.  A person’s environment greatly affects how they handle oneself and situations around them.  Due to Hamlet’s extremely ludicrous environment and unusual circumstances, he is just that much more of a complicated and elaborate character (Bristol). Another major thing that contributed to Hamlet’s complexity was his utter hatred towards Claudius.  From the get go Hamlet never liked him.  He felt Claudius was immoral and almost worthless.  After the ghost of his father told Hamlet that Claudius was responsible for his death, he hated his uncle just that much more.  That hatred soon turned into something much more though.  It transformed into a desire for revenge.  Before he did anything though,  he had to be positive that Claudius was the one responsible, so Hamlet tested his innocence.  Claudius failed the test and Hamlet was then positive that he was responsible for the murder of his father (Mitchell, 34-37).
