I love going on walks and hikes outdoors with my family. There are so many things that you can see like plants and bugs. You can bike around or go to the pool. You can go camping and stay in a tent outdoors or sleep in a hammock

Explanation:

Answer:

I would define nature as the world around us without any type of human involvement. I believe that nature is anything natural to the earth. It is the plants, animals, rivers, forests, birds, weather, etc. It is a gift given to us bygod. Most people believe that nature is just centered on the thought of the ocean and forest. Nature to me is the life source for all living creatures it provides us with the four essential things that we need to survive which are food, water, air, and shelter. However, we are so disconnected from nature we do not see the constant damage that is destroying our home.

The urban environment that I live in is my nature. My nature is filled with birds, cats, grass, and flowers. It may not be as abundant with mother nature’s resources compared to most places, but it still provides me with an experience of nature. Nature is not limited to just what we see anymore. However, you must use your senses to truly achieve the full experience of nature. In nature, you must smell the wonderful odors from the flowers, you should use your sight and observe the natural beauty of the ever-changing sky, touch the rough and jagged bark of the trees, and hear the spectacular songs of the birds that fly above you.

The connection between humans and nature is very weak. Due to future advancement, we are basically losing our grip on reality, which brings up the point of destruction to nature that we are not aware of. At one point in time, nature was the most beautiful thing you could ever witness. Now people exploit it for money. They are selling land, resources, even water for a profit. They don’t think twice or blink an eye at the damage they cause. The disconnect is so huge the debate of protecting the earth is treated as a forbidden topic.

“Second, environmental injustices critics challenge the mainstream environmental idea of what environmental problems are in the first place. They say it focused on the beautiful outdoors, it has an anti-urban bias, it isn’t engaged enough with artificial human environments like neighborhoods and workplaces” (Purdy 4) That just baffles me how you can turn the place we call home and the wellness of it to a political debate when all we should want to do is preserve it.

writing and argument paper on poetry and need to know if you get taught poetry in high school and whats expected from you when being taught it.

Answers

Yes, at my high school, we get taught poetry. Not every school or teacher is going to teach it in the same way however. We read a couple of Shakespeare plays, and we are expected to read them out loud in a class setting. The teacher usually asks the students what the phrase or sonnet means, because they want us to use critical thinking skills. The teachers will teach us and tell us what it means as well. In my high school, we also read a lot of poetry that isn’t Shakespeare, and we are usually asked to use our critical thinking skills to reflect and figure out what the author was saying. Sometimes, my teachers will have us write our own poems using the technique that the author wrote the poem in. All in all, it’s just a lot of thinking and reflecting, and Simone times there are connections to current issues as well. :)

What question is the following cartoon trying to get viewers to think about:

A.How can you help share what you have to help those in need?
B.Where should you go to find a descent meal?
C.Why should one share a meal with strangers?
D.Is it fair that some eat like kings while many live on crumbs?

Answers

Answer:

D. Is it fair that some eat like kings while many live on crumbs?

Explanation:

I used the process of elimination.

Answer A. isn't specifically about food, whereas this cartoon seems to make a great display of it.

B. and C. don't make sense.

D. makes sense because we can see that the people below are hungry and want the food too, so they are holding their plates up waiting for the crumbs to fall down. The food is turkey, which is expensive-and a whole turkey too! The person eating it is well dressed and the people below are not dressed as nicely. Therefore, I believe this cartoon is trying to make the viewers think about whether it is fair or not that some eat like kings while many live on crumbs.
