how does intellectual migration affect the development of the country

Answers

Answer 1
Intellectual migration is a movement of people from their home countries to another country because they felt that what they want to achieve will not be easily done in their own country. It is also called brain drain.

It is one of the biggest obstacles to the development of most third world countries. People with immense abilities and talents always seek greener pastures. The first law of human nature is that everyone seeks happiness. These noble men and women use all means at their disposal to exit their countries because they are searching for a better life or a presumed better life. It affects the development of a country in these ways.

It leads to a lack of manpower because most of the eligible workers are seeking greener pastures outside the shores of the country.
2. It leads to a lack of teachers for the molding of the minds of the younger generation, and in so doing creates a vacuum in the society. These results to lack of role models for the younger generation.

3. It leads to underdevelopment because these intellectuals who leave these countries could have invested their resources and abilities towards the building of the country.

4. It leads to dictatorial and authoritarian governments, since the intellectuals who understand the way things ought to be done are not many in the country, the government can ride on the ignorance of the population and use absolute power in excess. This will scuffle the country.

5. It leads to low human resource capacity, when these intellectuals are not in the country, the vast majority of the people becomes unskilled and unprepared to face the challenges ahead.

6. It increases the lack of loyalty to home countries, most of these intellectuals who left their countries will look down on the country. Those who will later try to change the status quo will be in minority. And those who made it outside their own country will pledge their allegiance to another country.

7. It makes the image of a country to be blunt in the world because countries are brought to limelight by amazing talents and discoveries by her citizens. Their human potentials speak more about a country.

8. It leads to low foreign direct investments. Every business will like to invest in an environment where the workforce is indigenous and potentials are found. It reduces the cost of maintaining expatriates who will come to fill in the gaps. So a good human resource is one of the drivers of investments in a country.

9. It leads to unemployment. When those who have immense abilities leave their own countries to somewhere else to develop their dreams, their home countries do not benefit in terms of job creation. This makes it difficult for some of them to be gainfully employed because not everyone has the capacity to own their own business or be self-employed.

10. It denies countries their tendency to tap into their natural resources and environmental endowments. Creativity leads to development and better living conditions. Without creative people, a country won't exponentially grow to attract good talents as well. All these are drivers of development and revenue generation for a country.

11. It undermine the image of the home country which these intellectuals move away from because it means that the country is not safe and progressive. In this light it deter investors away from the country

representative democracies

Answers

Answer:

D) Constitutional Monarchies.

E) Representative Democracies.

The governmental system that allows voters to elect representatives are constitutional monarchy and representative democracy. Option D & E are correct.

What is representative democracy?

In contrast to direct democracy, which is a form of democracy in which people vote directly on policy initiatives but in a representative democracy is a form of democracy in which people vote for representatives who then vote on policy initiatives.

Further United States' Founders came to the conclusion that a monarchy-style system of governance did not provide the people enough say in how their country was run. As a result, they agreed that the US government would be a democracy, which is a form of governance where voters have the last say.

Therefore Constitutional monarchies and representative democracies are the two types of governments that permit citizens to choose their representatives.

Understanding the difference between subjectivity and objectivity is important in discussing art. Identify each description as either a subjective or an objective statement by clicking and dragging the text labels to the appropriate category: Subjective Objective1. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial was completed in 1982. 2. Individual expression is the most important aspect of any artwork. 3. Van Gogh used many variations of the color blue in The Starry Night.4. Van Gogh's Self Portrait measures 25.5 by 21.5 inches. 5. Artists are more creative than other people. 6. The painting is beautiful. 7. The painting seems large. 8. The house has a cozy feel to it.

Answers

Answer and Explanation:

Objectivity refers to a statement that concerns a fact - something that the speaker or others can prove to be true, or something that is plain for everything to see and agree upon. Having that in mind, the following options from the question are objective:

1. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial was completed in 1982.

3. Van Gogh used many variations of the color blue in The Starry Night.

4. Van Gogh's Self Portrait measures 25.5 by 21.5 inches.

All the sentences above state facts instead of opinions. Anyone can look up the date when the Memorial was completed. Anyone can see if there are many variations of the color blue in the painting. Anyone can use a measuring tape.

Subjectivity refers to a statement that concerns an opinion. It is the speaker's personal view or perception of something. Others can easily disagree with what is expressed, and no one can prove it to be right or wrong. Having that in mind, the following options are subjective:

2. Individual expression is the most important aspect of any artwork. - Someone might say something else is the most important aspect. This is an opinion.

5. Artists are more creative than other people. - Not necessarily. Maybe, there are very creative people who are not artists.

6. The painting is beautiful. - Someone might find it ugly.

7. The painting seems large. - Depending on what we compare it to, the painting can also seem small.

8. The house has a cozy feel to it. - Someone might disagree and think the house is uncomfortable or too small, for instance.

Hello. You forgot to put the text that shows what Amy is doing. This makes it impossible to answer your question, but I can help you by showing you what each answer option represents.

Answer:

If Amy is fulfilling her legal and ethical responsibilities she is in a situation where she is complying with all laws and doing what is right and fair, even if it is disadvantageous for her.

If Amy is fulfilling her ethical and philosophical needs she is in a situation where, in addition to performing fair and correct actions, she is helping her community, being a good citizen and promoting improvements to other citizens.

If Amy is fulfilling her economic, legal, ethical and philanthropic obligations she is in a situation where, in addition to promoting good for the community, through fair and correct actions, she is complying with all laws and is still receiving economic profit for that.

If Amy is fulfilling her economic responsibilities, she is in a situation where her activities and skills are generating economic profit.

If Amy is fulfilling her economic and ethical responsibilities, she is in a situation where her activities are all correct and fair and generate economic profit.

Explanation:

Carroll's global corporate social responsibility pyramid is a pyramid model that shows the social responsibilities a company must have. This scale has 4 parts, the first part being the base of the pyramid, the economic responsibilities, which show that a company must, first, be responsible for the economic profit. The second part refers to legal liability, which states that a company must always act within the law, without exception. The third part refers to ethical responsibilities, which states that a company's activities must always be fair, regardless of the results. In the last part that represents the top of the pyramid are the philanthropic responsibilities that affirm that the company must design its activities to promote social good to the community as a whole.

Answer:

What is the history of Jerusalem?

The city's central position in both Jewish nationalism, Zionism and Palestinian nationalism, the selectivity required to summarize some 5,000 years of inhabited history is often influenced by ideological bias or background.

Israeli or Jewish nationalists claim a right to the city based on Jewish indigeneity to the land, particularly their origins in and descent from the Israelites, for whom Jerusalem is their capital and their yearning for return. In contrast, Palestinian nationalists claim the right to the city based on modern Palestinians' longstanding presence and descent from many different peoples who have settled or lived in the region over the centuries. Both sides claim the history of the city has been politicized by the other to strengthen their relative claims to the city, and that this is borne out by the different focuses the different writers place on the various events and eras in the city's history.

Thus, the above is the history of Jerusalem.
