When gun control groups and activists are on the rise, they invoke the Second Amendment as a talisman. The Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was created in 1791, more than 200 years ago. As time has changed, the right to bear arms, which played an important role in the Revolutionary War and the Civil War, has not only lost the value of protecting civil liberties, but has become a major threat to the life and freedom of citizens. In reality, however, the constitutional barrier is only the superficial cause of the gun control problem. It is the politics of money in America that lie behind it.
