If there is any true cause of fear respecting independence, it is because no plan is yet laid down. Men do not see their way out—Wherefore, as an opening into that business, I offer the following hints; at the same time modestly affirming, that I have no other opinion of them myself, than that they may be the means of giving rise to something better. Could the straggling thoughts of individuals be collected, they would frequently form materials for wise and able men to improve into useful matter.
Answer:
If there is any real reason to be afraid of independence, it is that there is no clear plan in place and men cannot see a way out. If people's scattered ideas could be gathered, they would regularly come together to form materials that smart and capable folks might develop into useful information.

Answer:
The man fails to understand the importance of the sun, as it symbolizes life and a source of warmth. The fact that he had not a hint of fear was worrisome.
Having imagination would have helped the man think and predict the consequences of his actions.
His spittle freezes in the air, he loses sensation in his fingers, steps in a pool of water, gets his feet wet, and drops a match in the snow, after toppling snow on his meager fire by pulling on tree branches.
The man shows a disregard for his dog's safety by pushing him to walk over thin ice and by attempting to kill him so he could crawl into its carcass and survive the night.
A civilized man has become goal-oriented, egocentric, and uncaring and as such has put his ability to survive in peril.

"The Moon"
By Robert Louis Stevenson
The moon has a face like the clock in the hall;
She shines on thieves on the garden wall,
On streets and fields and harbour quays,
And birdies asleep in the forks of the trees.
The squalling cat and the squeaking mouse,
The howling dog by the door of the house,
The bat that lies in bed at noon,
All love to be out by the light of the moon.
But all of the things that belong to the day
Cuddle to sleep to be out of her way;
And flowers and children close their eyes
Till up in the morning the sun shall arise."The Crescent Moon"
By Amy Lowell
Slipping softly through the sky
Little horned, happy moon,
Can you hear me up so high?
Will you come down soon?
On my nursery window-sill
Will you stay your steady flight?
And then float away with me
Through the summer night?
Brushing over tops of trees,
Playing hide and seek with stars,
Peeping up through shiny clouds
At Jupiter or Mars.
I shall fill my lap with roses
Gathered in the milky way,
All to carry home to mother.
Oh! what will she say!
Little rocking, sailing moon,
Do you hear me shout—Ahoy!
Just a little nearer, moon,
To please a little boy.

Answer:
he main idea of Dwight Okita's poems, like the one called Response to executive order 9066, is that cultural heritage and physical appearances do not determine what it means to be american. In those poems, Okita talks more on how the people can experience culture. he expresses this by telling the story about a girl who is overwhelmed by the american culture but that in her trip, she finds comfort and friendship from an american young lady.
The Common theme is that Cultural heritage and physical appearances does not determine if your American.
Though the speakers in Okita's poem and Cisneros's short story have strong roots in foreign cultures, both of them feel more connected to their American identities. The narrator's describe their identities in both "Mericans" and "In Response to Executive Order 9066" not based on their ethnicity, but where they believe they belong and relate the most. Inside each text , both author's explain this differently. Through "Mericans" the author prefers to use similarities of how the narrator feels compared to how her grandmother feels and by examples to American culture. In "Mericans", the author uses the emotions of both the grandmother and the narrator to show their opinions on how they see their identities. “The awful grandmother knits the names of the dead and the living into one long prayer fringed with the grandchildren born in that barbaric country with its barbaric ways." Although the grandmother sees the U.S. in a bad light and also strongly identifies with the Mexican culture and church, the girl doesn't feel the same way. Another way that the author shows identity differently from Okita is by using references to American pop culture: "I want to be a flying feather dancer, too, but when he circles past me, he shouts," I'm a B-Fifty-two bomber, you 're a German, "and shoots me with an invisible machine gun." The use of these references shows the connectivity of the narrator to American culture. In "Response to Executive Order 9066", Dwight Okita chooses to use different methods while still following a similar idea. By using the narrator's direct thoughts, it allows the reader to take a deep look at the girls' own ideas about their identity. “If it helps any, I will tell you I have always felt funny using chopsticks and my favorite food is hot dogs” The narrator expresses these thoughts to show that even though she is japanese that doesn’t mean she feels that way. This is evident in her dislike of chopsticks and enjoyment of American food. An additional way in which the author uses a technique different from that of Mericas is to use the different views of others.“You’re trying to start a war,” she said, “giving secrets away to the Enemy. Why can’t you keep your big mouth shut?” Using Dwight's best friends' view of her identity shows that even though Dwight feels like she's American, others may not see her as one. While both texts have examples of various ways of delivering a common message, there are differences within the texts that have the same purpose as well. The two authors use the narrator 's opinions as an example of this. “I gave her a packet of tomato seeds and asked her to plant them for me, told her when the first tomato ripened she’d miss me." Dwight's own opinions are present in the text as well as those of the narrators in "Mericans": "I don't mind being Ming the Merciless, but I don't like being Mud People." Both narrators use their thoughts to form clear opinions on topics as well as their cultural identities. In addition to opinions, another shared device is how others see girls based on their looks. ”But you speak English!” “Yeah,” my brother says, “we’re Mericans”. The lady assumes that the he doesn't speak English because of his appearance, but in reality he doesn't identify himself as Mexican. Overall, both writers use different and similar ways of presenting the same identity theme, not based on heritage, but where one feels they relate and belong the most. Sandra Cisneros uses forms of comparison and pop culture to get her views across while Dwight Okita uses clear thoughts and other viewpoints. While they both have different organizations, they also share a few opinions, such as narrators, and other views based on looks. In conclusion, both authors are able to get their point of identity is up to each individual through similar and different ways.

Which line best supports the writer’s opinion that Kamen has done things that have never been done before?
This quote is from the inventor of a three-phase motor, Nikola Tesla.
Dean started tinkering with sound and light boxes in his bedroom, “which caused lights to go off and on, and deafening sound to come from his radio,” said his mother.
It fits the description in every respect of Dean Kamen, the owner of more than one hundred patents.
Their indulgent parents allowed Dean and his older brother Barton to experiment, raising as many as one hundred live rats and to set up a workshop in their basement on Long Island.
Answer:
C

Just trust me with your heart. I promise it's correct.
The line that best supports the writer’s opinion that Kamen has done things that have never been done before is this:
C.It fits the description in every respect of Dean Kamen, the owner of more than one hundred patents.
What line best supports the writer's opinion? The line that best supports the writer's opinion that Kamen has done something that has never been done before is the third option. This option shows that Dean Kamen owned more than a hundred patents. This was something that was quite unique and rare. Probably no one had ever done such a thing as Kamen had.
The line that we are to look out for will be the one that points to the exceptional strength of Kamen that must have separated him from others. The ability to own just one patent is unique not to talk of owning more than a hundred patents. This achievement of Kamen is something that has not been done before. So, option C is right.

The Necklace is a short fictional tale, written by Guy de Maupassant following a couple of lower economic classes, but they are not yet the poorest. The couple receives an invitation to a luxury gala where the top of the top will come. Worried about her appearance, Mathilde borrows, what looks like, an extremely expensive necklace from a friend. This explains her materialistic views for Part A, and how important it is for her to fit in.
We can support her materialistic views for Part A when she announces she would rather SKIP the world-class event because she looks poor, rather than just go and enjoy herself regardless of her appearance.

Could someone please make a clincher sentence for me?
The conclusion of my essay(this is what needs the clincher to end):
In brief, health issues, loneliness, and many other problems humans faced many centuries ago, and still face now, have been reduced thanks to domesticated animals. Animals were found to be extremely helpful to humans, and are now kept as pets.
The rest of the essay(the essay is about the cause and effect of pets and owners):
Introduction - George Eliot has said, “Animals are such agreeable friends—they ask no questions; they pass no criticisms.” The pets that are now humankind’s companions today were once wild animals. They now benefit humans in many ways. Because animals were domesticated many centuries ago, humans then began to have them as companions and kept them as pets; this led to a reduction of loneliness and health issues.
Body paragraph 1 - Early humans domesticated certain animals many centuries ago. National Geographic notes, “Because most major acts of domestication began before recorded history, we don’t know much about the exact process behind the generations-long journey from wild animal to domesticated pet or livestock. What is clear is that the ancestors of domesticated animals must have already exhibited traits that made them somehow useful to humans—traits that may have ranged from tasty meat to warm coats to a natural affinity for people.” Animals showed a natural affinity for people many years before being domesticated. The National Academy of Sciences has researched that, “Domestication of today's barnyard animals proceeded as a result of pressure by these early hunter-gatherers as they intuitively sought to stabilize their food resources (17, 24, 25). Among the successful domesticates, most were behaviorally preadapted to domestication. Behavioral characteristics considered favorable and unfavorable are presented in Table 2. Barnyard animals descend from herd-living herbivores whose ancestors followed a dominant individual through a territory shared with other herds.” Based off behavior, “hunter-gatherers” selected barnyard animals to stabilize their food resources. Humans began to domesticate animals because of things like a shortage of food, a need for help, and such.
Body paragraph 2 - As a result, more and more domesticated animals became pets over the years. Certain domesticated animals were seen as tame, or capable of being tamed. We now have various types of pets today, because of domestication many centuries back. “More than half of the global population is estimated to have a pet at home”, Health for Animals has analyzed. It is very common to have pets these days. Further on, John Leonard, a writer for “Greece Is”, claims, “Within the home and garden, the range of animals kept as pets was almost boundless, including dogs, ducks, geese, caged birds, rabbits, hares, tortoises, goats, quail, and mice.” There was, and still is, a wide range of animals kept as pets. Many different animals were domesticated, and are now pets.
Body paragraph 3 - The benefits of having pets range from a reduction of loneliness and health issues to increased happiness and better social skills. “The unconditional love of a pet can do more than keep you company. Pets may also decrease stress, improve heart health, and even help children with their emotional and social skills.” News in Health states. There are many benefits of having pets, many pertaining to health. News in Health has also found that “Animals can serve as a source of comfort and support. Therapy dogs are especially good at this. They’re sometimes brought into hospitals or nursing homes to help reduce patients’ stress and anxiety.” [Animals, especially dogs, are in tune to human emotions and are good support. The benefits of having pets are vast, and increase more, and more, over the years.
