Comparing and contrasting the different Native American tribes

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

The Iroquois and Algonquin lived in the Northeast US and southeast Canada. The Anasazi lived in the Southwest US. The Iroquois and Anasazi lived a more sedentary lifestyle, while the Algonquin lived a more nomadic lifestyle. The Algonquin hunted and fished for food, while the Iroquois and Anasazi hunted, but also grew crops. Algonquin lived in wigwams (dome-shaped homes), Iroquois lived in long houses, and the Anasazi lived in Adobe style homes called pueblos. They all used what was available in nature for the creation of their homes. Algonquin society was patriarchal, Iroquois was matriarchal, and Anasazi was more matriarchal. The Algonquin and Iroquois were actually confederacies. They were actually different tribes of native americans that banded together in times of need.

No one is sure how the Anaszi declined. Some believe that they were attacked by a more hostile group or groups of indians. Others believe that they exhausted the few natural resources that existed within their desert environment. The Algonquin and Iroquois societies still exist and thrive today. They are prominent in their ancestral lands and have played key roles within both US and Canadian governments to protect their land and interests.

2. Explain TWO specific examples of how the development of cities and the construction of
monuments resulted in the rise of mathematics, science and art.

Answers

The development of cities required the construction of walls that would protect them from the dangerous invasions that could occur and that put the population in danger, as well as the commerce and wealth of the city. The construction of these walls was very influential in the emergence and development of mathematics, because the construction required a knowledge of counting materials, measurements and even a certain study on the geometric shapes of the materials used. This also influenced the knowledge of some scientific concepts, which despite being archaic and poorly developed, had a great importance in the construction of the walls.

The development of cities was also influenced by the activity of artisans, who were the artists of the time and who were responsible for creating numerous objects important for social advancement, in addition to creating conventional arts such as paintings, music and poetry, which had a character more religious.

Some effects of globalization that would be presented as evidence by either critics or proponents of globalization would be the following.

Proponents: globalization connects nations through trade. Allow the increasing of "healthy" competition. Globalization can positively influence other cultures. Create jobs in foreign countries.

Critics: undeveloped worlds are in clear trade disadvantaged against powerful nations. Many jobs are lost in former countries because industries and fabrics close to open them in underdeveloped countries where labor is cheaper.
