write a composition explaining the rules of games. a composition must have .. number of players, position and role of each player, penalties involved, aim of game , system of scoring. topics given below..

A) describe your favorite team game to someone who wishes to play it , explaining the rules involved.

B) describe a local game to a pen- friend who wishes to know something about it.

Answers

Answer:

a.The game of basketball consists of four quarters of 10 minutes each, and if scores are tied at the end of it, there is a five minutes' extension called “overtime”. 7) The scoring rules are simple. If you shoot from behind the arc, you will get three points whereas shot from inside the arc receives two points.

b.We love to get involved in different kinds of spectators and individual sports in Myanmar. In fact, our government also encourages us to play sports. Anyway, today I would like to talk about a sport, which I enjoy playing the most like millions of others in my country.

The name of this sport is football. In fact, football by far is the most popular sport in my country, followed by Golf, especially after the modern Myanmar national football league was formed in the year of 2009. Besides, football has a long and rich tradition in my country as used to be one of the best Asian teams along with Iran and South Korea, winning Asian Games football tournaments twice, in 1966 and 1970, as well as being runner up in the 1968 Asian Cup, after the champion and host Iran. Myanmar youth team had also crowned Asian youth championship titles seven times.

Anyway, when I was younger, I could play this sport anywhere in our streets, where I lived, with my friends and neighbours because back then, the streets were not really that busy. But, as I've grown up now, I only play this great sport in the field by dividing ourselves, including my friends and neighbours, in two teams, with 11 players in each, and we play like true professionals. In fact, we even organize a “friendly cup” football tournament for our wards (“ward” is a local city authority in my country) in our town every year where the champion team receives an award.

In fact, when our “ward” team plays in this friendly cup football tournament, we support our own teams by chanting and screaming for them so that they become spirited and energized to score goals.

Anyway, I enjoy this sport because it allows me to socialize and mingle with my friends and neighbours while also having fun in the field. The game helps me recuperate from the fatigue and tiredness of my busy working life. Finally, the sport also allows me to remain physically fit and healthy like no other game.

4: A- What did the policeman think Wallace was lying about? B- How do you know?

Answers

Answer: the policeman thought that Wallace was lying about the garden

Explanation:

The officer thought Wallace was lying because he showed signs of being foolishness.

We can arrive at this answer because:

When the officers spoke to Wallace he was confused, nervous, and showing signs of nonsense.Although Wallace's fiancée claimed that this was his normal state, it was hard to believe as he couldn't form coherent sentences.

The police suspected that Wallace was not in his normal state, but acted only after neighbors made new calls to report on Wallace's lack of control.

It is possible to know this through the "Report on the Investigation into The Death of Michael Wallace."

I just sat there, frozen. I'd lost track of time. At some point the two workers from downstairs in the workplace came up to me and said that they were so sorry, that they hadn't known. Then Van Matto came and said something, and I saw that the Austrian had given him the keys that he had taken from me. I can't imagine where the time had gone. First, it had been eleven or twelve o'clock when the Dutch Nazi had come. Then it must have been about one-thirty when I'd heard the footsteps on the inner stairway. Then, suddenly, Elli was back, and Henk had arrived, and I realized that it was five o'clock and the day had passed.

in the poem The Stayer by Virgil Suarez, What is an example of a simile?

Answers

Answer:

The dog's fur was as white as snow, so I named them snowball.

Explanation:

Simile is often used in poems that use the words like or as. not to be confused with metaphor that don't use the terms like or as

In the poem The Stayer by Virgil Suarez, an example of a simile is The dog's fur was as white as snow, so I named them snowball.

What is a simile?

A simile is a term that describes something by making a contrast. A simile is a figure of speech that uses the words "like" or "as" to compare two dissimilar objects.

The adverbs "cool as a cucumber," "cold as ice," and "sly as a fox" are examples of common similes. Similes are frequently used by authors to bring concrete pictures to writing about abstract subjects. For instance, "life" is comparable to "a box of chocolates." When you see the words like or in comparison, you may be sure you've found one.

Therefore, a simile is used in the line The dog's fur was as white as snow, therefore I named them to snowball in Virgil Suarez's poem The Stayer.

I blink.
My vision fades from black— yet no matter how hard I rub them, dragging my hands up from beneath the sheets to press fists against my eyelids, my vision never clears; a film of blurry SOMETHING remains, turning lights into blobs of light and words into fuzzy curves and lines.

I sit up. For some reason, my back aches.

“Gray?”

I hear a familiar voice call my name from behind me— yet I can’t seem to place who it is.

“Kayden?” my voice comes out as a deep rasp. Surprised, I clear my throat, the feeling oddly prominent. I taste something bitter in my mouth and spit out blood.

For the first time I notice something off— my clothes aren’t right! I’d been wearing a pretty white dress and flats before, but now I’m dressed in loose, black cargo pants, a loose T shirt and a belt. I pull at the clothes, recognizing them as Kayden’s.

“Hey, somebody switched my clothes with my friend’s clothes,” I say. My voice is still deep as hell— it sounds oddly similar to Kayden’s. “Do you know where they are?”

“Wait, who are you?” asks the unplaceable voice.

“I’m Gray,” I answer, confused. I stand, brushing myself off, wrinkling my nose at the red droplets of spit and blood on the pavement.

“Gray, it’s me.”

I turn.

In front of me stands a mirror image of myself.

Before I can even process what’s happening, the strange mirror image speaks. “You look just like me,” they say.

My gut churns. Something feels off. “Kayden?” I ask, slowly realizing what’s happened.

“Gray?”

We stand, staring at one another, unsure of what to do next.

Kayden speaks with my mouth. “So we clashed heads… passed out… and…”

“Switched bodies?” I finish for Kayden, chills making me shiver despite the light warmth of the sun.

The allusion "I have been as sincere a worshipper of Aurora as the Greeks" emphasizes that every morning is an opportunity for spiritual renewal. excerpt from the Where I Lived and What I Lived For section of Walden by Henry David ThoreauEvery morning was a cheerful invitation to make my life of equal simplicity, and I may say innocence, with Nature herself. I have been as sincere a worshipper of Aurora as the Greeks. I got up early and bathed in the pond; that was a religious exercise, and one of the best things which I did. They say that characters were engraven on the bathing tub of King Tching-thang to this effect: Renew thyself completely each day; do it again, and again, and forever again. I can understand that. Morning brings back the heroic ages. I was as much affected by the faint burn of a mosquito making its invisible and unimaginable tour through my apartment at earliest dawn, when I was sitting with door and windows open, as I could be by any trumpet that ever sang of fame. It was Homers requiem; itself an Iliad and Odyssey in the air, singing its own wrath and wanderings. There was something cosmical about it; a standing advertisement, till forbidden, of the everlasting vigor and fertility of the world. The morning, which is the most memorable season of the day, is the awakening hour. Then there is least somnolence in us; and for an hour, at least, some part of us awakes which slumbers all the rest of the day and night.
