Answer:
The 1960s were a time where the world was changing. Music was changing, politics were changing, and people were changing. But one problem seemed to remain in society Racism. Although the 1960s were the era of the Baby Boom, the racist segregation did not subside. Although segregation thrived through Jim Crow Laws, Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X both fought hard against it. This segregation lead to possibly the world’s greatest achievement, the African-American Civil Rights Movement. In the 1960s, the way of life was different for people with different colors of skin. There were separate bathrooms, separate restaurants, drinking fountains, and churches for black people. Restaurants had a Jim Crow law, that stated,
“It shall be unlawful to conduct a restaurant or other place for the serving of food in the city, at which white and colored people are served in the same room, unless such white and colored persons are effectively separated by a solid partition extending from the floor upward to a distance of seven feet or higher, and unless a separate entrance from the street is provided for each compartment. “
Black people were also forced to use different barbers, nurses and jail cells. The segregation between black people and white people was evident and enforced by law. These laws were called Jim Crow Laws, and were local laws that outlined the segregation between black people and white people. Any act against a Jim Crow law was punishable by law and received an unusually hefty punishment. These ‘separate but equal’ approaches lead to much discrimination that African-American communities endured for much of the decade. These laws covered aspects such as barbers, prisons, nurses, and libraries. Some examples of Jim Crow laws were:
1. No colored barber shall serve as a barber (to) white girls or women (Georgia).
2. No person or corporation shall require any White female nurse to nurse in wards or rooms in hospitals, either public or private, in which Negro men are placed (Alabama).
3. The warden shall see that the white convicts shall have separate apartments for both eating and sleeping from the Negro convicts (Mississippi).
Although these laws were all forced by law, they were all forced by the public as well. Many mobs of white men used lynching in the 1960s to try and manipulate the African-American population. Lynching is considered the punishment of any person without legal process or authority. Any person who tried to promote against, abolish, or defy the Jim Crow laws were often beaten and/or killed. With the help of Martin Luther King Jr. and the Civil Rights movement, these laws were only in effect up until 1965. In 1968 the Supreme Court declared all types of segregation ‘unconstitutional’.Martin Luther King Jr. was an integral part of the abolishment of Jim Crow Laws and the public support of the Civil Rights Movement. Growing up as a child, Martin Luther King Jr. was a very smart human being. He attended segregated high schools in Georgia but only stayed for a short amount of time. Because of Martins superb intelligence, he was able to finish grades 9-12 in just two years, making him a high school graduate at the age of fifteen. After receiving a doctorate at Boston University, Martin had already started his effect on society. He participated in a 382 day boycott to remove the segregation between black and white people on buses. The supreme court agreed and on December 21, 1956, the law was ruled unconstitutional. Martin Luther King paid the price for this great achievement, finding himself arrested and his home was bombed. The African-American Civil Rights Movement took place in the 1960s and really gained support on August 28th, 1963. Martin Luther King Jr. made his plea to the world for racial equality during his “I Have a Dream speech. This speech was a powerful moment in history and held the support of people all over the planet. “I have a dream is still regarded as one of the greatest political statements ever to be made.

A timeline explaining the novel murder at midnight
Only 5 slots
I need by 11:59
Answer:
The Murder at Midnight is a exceptional, thrilling, and suspenseful book that leaves the reader with a cliffhanger at every chapter. The Murder at Midnight is about a young boy [Fabrizio] who used to live on the streets, but was hired as a servant for a magician, when the magician’s wife stumbled upon him sitting on the streets. Fabrizio’s job leaves him with many mysteries every night, Fabrizio finds himself snooping through his master’s stuff to try and find how he does his tricks, but comes across something else, a murder.
This was definitely one of my favorite books and I wish there were more, or if there was a series. I would recommend this book to people who like mysteries and suspense, also to people who are in 6th and 7th grade because there a complexity to the book but not enough to make 8th grade level, but there a easy part to the book but not enough to make it a 5th grade level. But there are also some substandard part about the book. In this book it’s based 1700’s, so everyone is talking in old accents and you start to gain confusion. But that really means nothing compared to how good of a read this book really was.
The theme of this book is suspense. There are a ton of examples of suspense in this book, one is when fabrizio is arrested for questioning the prince and is sentenced to execution, he is released, and his enthusiasm is priceless, he yells “ Signore… it says … it says … ‘let the boy … go … free!” I loved this part because the whole time when fabrizio was reading the letter he was thinking it was going to say to “kill him at once!”, and the executioner was definitely not to thrilled to kill a child so his enthusiasm was also funny. At first when fabrizio was reading it the executioner said “prepare yourself for death boy.” but as fabrizio kept reading and got to the part where it said let him go the executioner yelled, “Does it? Perfectly amazing! In all my years that’s never happened before.” which let a huge relief of stress when i though the main character was about to die.

Which two parts of this excerpt from John Bunyan's The Pilgrim’s Progress show that the central character is devoutly religious and God-fearing?
Then said Evangelist, Why not willing to die, since this life is attended with so many evils? The man answered, Because I fear that this burden is upon my back will sink me lower than the grave, and I shall fall into Tophet [Isa. 30:33] And, Sir, if I be not fit to go to prison, I am not fit, I am sure, to go to judgement, and from thence to execution; and the thoughts of these things make me cry
Then said Evangelist, If this be thy condition, why standest thou still? He answered, Because I know not whither to go. Then he gave him a parchment roll, and there was written within, Flee from the wrath to come. [Matt. 3.7]
The man therefore read it, and looking upon Evangelist very carefully, said, Whither must I fly?
Then said Evangelist, pointing with his finger over a very wide field, Do you see yonder wicket-gate? [Matt. 7:13,14] The man said, No. Then said the other, Do you see yonder shining light? [Ps. 119:105; 2 Pet. 1:19] He said, I think I do. Then said Evangelist, Keep that light in your eye, and go up directly thereto: so shalt thou see the gate; at which, when thou knockest, it shall be told thee what thou shalt do.
Answer:
"The man therefore read it, and looking upon Evangelist very carefully, said, Whither must I fly?" This shows that the central character is willing to go the path that Evangelist advises him to, it's something that he feels he wants and must do.
"Then said Evangelist, 'Keep that light in your eye, and go up directly thereto: so shalt thou see the gate; at which, when thou knockest, it shall be told thee what thou shalt do.'" This shows that the central character is willing to follow Evangelist's instruction because of both the character's name and where he is saying he should head.

each gender communicated.
Please select the best answer from the choices provided
true
false
Answer:
False.
Explanation:
The communication difference between men and women does not necessarily involve the difference in how much each gender communicated. Rather, it has to do more with what each gender expects out of that conversation or how each gender approached the conversation.
In general, men tend to have conversations that are direct, informative, and provide solutions to the problems while women tend to communicate more on the emotional level. They are not specifically looking for a solution but just want someone to lend an ear to listen to their problems.
Thus, it is false to say that the main difference between the communication of men and women has to do with how much each gender communicated.

Answer:
It was December 31, 2020, the clock struck midnight. It was New Year's Eve as they say, and it was about to be one loud night. Not everyone knew the fun of this Holiday, this Celebration. It was something that people actually looked up to, something that people would just sit in their living room's a minute before the clock started singing the song to let us know, that it was that time. The fireworks and the happy cheering over a glass of juice or wine, just made me smile, because seeing that people were actually really happy over this just brought joy to me, it brought a warmth of happiness.
The lights, the food, the Family time that I've missed since my parents long gone left. It was all such a Beautiful and wonderful sight, just watching from my Window while kids jumped around, pointing to the sky saying, "Mom, mom look up there, look at that one!". I don't know what about New Years Eve that made me Curl up and squeal, but i liked that feeling. I liked feeling like an absolute happy person though everything hasn't been so 'happy' in my life. Drinking warm tea, and snuggled under my warm blankets. I never knew that such a Wonderful day, could ever make me so happy.

(travel, be, disguise, walk, own, receive, step, surprise, tip, bow, greet, do, scream, run, fall, teach, play, think)
Answer:
Last year, I traveled to Spain to visit a close friend of mine. To surprise a clever fellow, I disguised myself as an ancient swordsman and walked into his place as if I owned it. After receiving directions from his servant, I stepped in his bedroom and greeted him with a slap on the back. Then, of course, I tipped my hat, bowed and greeted him the way they did in ancient Spain. My friend screamed and ran. In his frenzy, he was not able to see the stairs and fell down the flight of stairs. This taught me a lesson that I should not play pranks anymore. Sometimes, what you think of as entertaining may not be that entertaining for other people.
Explanation:
As you can see, we had to repeat a couple of verbs since there are more blanks than there are options. Most of the verbs should be used in the Simple Past Tense because the beginning of the passage states with precision when this story took place (last year). However, we must pay attention to whether the sentences contain a preposition or a modal verb, for instance, so that we can use the verb in the appropriate form (with -ing or in its base form, for example).
When considering the effects of accepting a new idea as truth, which question is it MOST important to ask? a. Who might agree or disagree with this statement? b. Will I have to change what I have believed for a long time? c. Do I fully understand what is being said? d. What does this idea mean?
Answer:
c. Do I fully understand what is being said?
Explanation:
Before accepting a new idea as true it is important that you make sure that you fully understand everything that is being said. We might at times be confronted with ideas that are opposite to what we believed in. Before accepting such ideologies, the question that is MOST important to ask is;
c. Do I fully understand what is being said? Before accepting new ideologies, it is important that we inquire to know if we fully understand what the idea is about.
A good comprehension of the ideologies being stated will help us to know if they align with our perspective of things. If they do, then we might be more disposed to accept them,
